How come I feel so ready to leave, and you don't? Odd.
Don't get to comfortable at home, you don't want to end up living in your parents' basement, watching films (*shifty eyes*) all day and working at some diner. I know someone like that, so that's my inspiration to get the f*ck out of this place. He drives around all day and stops people to tell them boring stories about his boring life. Whenever he talks, I just think God, I don't want to end up like this guy. His parents were pretty rich, so it's not like he came from a bad family.. he just never made anything of his life. He's 27.
Don't post-pone it too much. You'll probably find that once you're there, you'll love it!

I honestly don't know. When you look at other people and they say, "Oh, I can't wait to leave for college", and you're one that's contemplating staying home, it's very odd. Well I have a brother who's living with us. He's in his late twenties. It's not like he was born here, he only came here from Haiti about 2...3 years ago? Something like that. But he's pretty cool. He's practically out every night. But I'm not staying here past my mid twenties. But when you did the shifty eyes, I, for a split second, thought you were talking about yourself. Are you talking about yourself?!

No. I don't live in a basement. I was describing said person. Just wanted to get my point across in a subtle way.
Oh, and I live in a tiny village, where we only have 1 shop. So staying would turn me into a country hick.

You're gonna go Bon Temps on us? Well, I just found out that there is more than one UCONN campus in the state. And convienently, there is a campus about 30 minutes away from home, so I could take the train there and shuttle bus the rest of the way there, assuming I even want to go there. And that would pretty much discard our entire conversation above, or last page... Now it's just a matter of which school I want to go to. And I wouldn't go as far as completely discard the campus an hour away. If I do go to UCONN, I'll have to finish up college there being as it's the main campus.

Wow. In procrastinating studying for my finals, I found my old home. It's been five years since logging on to this board and by looking at all the old posts, I honestly miss it so much.
I know no one really uses this anymore and this post will probably never be seen, but thank you to this site and all the wonderful people I met on it. You were my friends and my supporters during a really difficult time in my life. I started on C-Net at 12 years old, wrote my own fan-fic, and basically spent every waking hour on here. I am now approaching 20 and finishing my sophomore year in college. While I only watch Charmed every few months, it is still the epitome of my adolescent years and this site nourished my love for it long after it was off the air.
If anyone ever reads this, hi! If you're new here, I'm sorry you came after the party ended. This forum used to be an amazing network of intelligent, funny, and creative people. If you're an oldie like me and came back for nostalgia purposes, know you're not alone. One day I hope a new generation of Charmed obsessed people takes over this forum and brings new life to it. It's a shame that something so pivotal to our lives has perished.

OMG! HELLOOOOOOOOOOO!
Melissa's post above inspired me to post something as well.
I often visit this forum when I remember my childhood. I was around 16 years old when I first joined the charmed-net forum, and now I am approaching 30. (Wow! Those that were 28-30 years old back then, now are mid forties! Oh god! They probably have kids now!)
I can still recognise the usernames, I can still remember who were the moderators ( for example, zuzzu, RJF, charmed-to-death, hisham), and even some drama that was going on (april's fool anyone?, post count cheating). But I guess that's normal since I was logging into the forums for hourssssss back then. Sometimes I wonder what some of the old users are up to these days. Did any of the charmed fan fiction writers ('Rory', 'Phoenixlighter') purse their childhood dreams and become authors? Did the user 'Adam', the New Zealand guy with the amazing photoshopping skills, ever managed to become a photographer or editor?
Now that I think about it, I have never been active in any other forum since then. I remember getting off school and running to the family computer to log into Charmed-Net. Now we have facebook, instagram, and youtubers. Plus I have never managed to get into a tv show as much as I did with Charmed.
It is weird that even though I haven't watched an episode of Charmed in, no kidding, 10 years I still smile when I think about the series because it was such a big part of my childhood. I sometimes google what the Charmed actresses have been up to; not much really is the answer. None of them managed to land a major leading role in a tv show again. Good thing they were well-paid when they were on Charmed. I am quite sure that Holy and Shannen are still going to some Charmed conventions, which is nice to see. I mean its nice to see that this TV show meant so much to them, as it did to us kids back then.
I know that this post is really really all over the place and most probably I sound like a psycho remembering all this, but I am just throwing around random information for any old user that might come back for nostalgia purposes and see this.
I want to end this post by saying that the show, the charmed-net forum and its users were the epitome of my teenage years as well. Only happy thoughts come to mind when I think about these memories.
Talk to you later.
