Charmed Comic coming in summer 2010

Does anyone know if these will be in color? I saw the sample pages and I'm definitely excited. I'm assuming the other preview pages are of Paige and Henry.

Definetly not Paige and Henry since the female killed the man by using magic to push him off the balcony. Yes, it will be in colored, these are just previews.

After seeing these previews, Piper's style takes a big turn. It DOESN'T bother me Though. (Charmed's going to the extreme this time with the booty touching, lol). Baby Chris looks so cute! (Or is that a girl since it looks like she's wearing a skirt)? What exactly is Piper fighting? A Ghost or salami? Is she even in the manor kitchen? Does she seriously have that big of a knife that looks like a machete? And demon rats? didn't we already have them? Anyways, looks great!

I am pretty sure the baby is Melinda, note the baby's skirt and the two boys who show up at the end. And I think something possessed the pasta! ;D

Haha, it's so fitting to let Piper get attacked while she's just minding her own business cooking. Poor girl. I agree that the baby is, in all likelihood, Melinda; the skirt and the girly flip to the hair seal the deal for me. I love that she manages to get her kid securely into the high-chair before doing battle .

This is going to be so much fun; I can't wait. I also liked the section in the interview where they discuss Charmed as a family drama. Magic is awesome... powers are awesome, but it's nice to see that they plan to incorporate that same sibling dynamic, those same I love you/I hate you dichotomies the show originally did so well, into the comics.

I enjoyed the Piper pages as those were the only two I could make any sense of without the lettering. I love how she and the kids are drawn, but my only concern is the time lapse, as it doesn't seem a year and a half has passed by looking at the boys. They look 6-8 years, and I believe when we left Chris, he was two. So that makes him... three and a half?

Looks like they've got themselves a Peter Keith Mitchell problem.

But I can't wait for this. I hope they don't include a lot of Billie.

Those page previews look great, especially the Piper ones. About the kids ageing, it does seem a bit extreme (if they are Chris and Wyatt of course) that they've grown so much but I'm not going to nitpick

Thanks for sharing, and it was great to hear some more bits about it. Especially the bits about the other characters appearing, I'm hoping they will. I'm not bothered about Prue or Cole to be honest, Cole especially since his story is done, but I'd love to see Grams back So yeah, fingers crossed they will actually bring some others into it.

I loved the Piper pages. I think she was fighting those vines from the cover, confirming the vines are demonic or at least under the control of a demon.

It's so nice to see Piper cooking, I couldn't really make out if it was the Manor kitchen, but I'm guessing it's not her restaurant as she's wearing not any cooking clothes.

I like the drawings very much. I'm also glad that they're keeping the family element in the comics and they'll bring back some characters like Grams.

Loved the previews. wonder who the killer is? Was that how they'll represent telekinesis, though? *wonders*

So, demonic vines indeed. And Piper has apparently no powers over them since they don't freeze or blow up. And yeah, if those two boys are indeed Wyatt and Chris, they missed a few years, eh.

But, that means there'll be two mysteries in one book, unless the pretty killer is linked to the demonic vines...

Another question is, was that an evil leprechaun or dwarf with a hand on the killer's butt?

I think those previews look amazing. The writing will probably be great, but the graphics are amazing. Such a shame we have to wait two months to find out who that frizzy-haired person was and why a leprachaun was touching her. But yes, Piper's were the best, seeing as how they were they only comprehensible ones, and I don't mind Wyatt and Chris looking like 10 year olds.

Well, it's not so much a question of minding as it is of accepting the "reality" of things. I mean, if it's a year/a year and a half after Forever Charmed, Wyatt would be 6 and Chris around 4. So, there is something amiss there. Unless someone fed them an ageing potion Lol

This would be my biggest hope as well . I really don't think I'm strong enough to handle more than a mention-in-passing. And even that's pushing it.

It makes the age gap between Melinda and both boys a little extreme, I think. That's some year and a half . I'm going to try and keep from being obsessive though... maybe there's a reasonable explanation? lol.

Cool observation! Now that I look at it again, it does look like Melinda is trying to help Piper. It looks like their freezing power has no affect on the vines. (oh, definetly vines since you can see leaves on it).

It appears Piper is either in her restaurant or she has moved because the kitchen looks nothing like the Halliwell manor kitchen.

Obviously, the first two pages are of the issue's villain, but they're presented in the wrong order. She and her henchman enter the club/bar, meeting up with someone. I want to say "leprechaun" or "dwarf", even elder, given his robes, but the fact that neither of these good beings would be conspiring with evil makes me nervous, so I'll just assume that it's a new species. In any case, she feels disrespected by his ass-touching, and with a single flinch of her hand, he's tossed off the balcony. Given the crowd's reactions (or lack, thereof), I'm guessing that this might be some kind of demonic bar, like the one they showed in Witch Wars.

Piper looks great, the only thing making me nervous is how she's practically dangling her child over the stove. Correct me if I'm wrong, but whenever there was a kitchen scene, the kids were always in a booster seat... this just looks a little awkward. But I think I understand why they did it-- to imply how protective and close she is to her new child. Speaking of, the second page clearly shows a much older Chris and Wyatt (Chris is pretty recognizable), implying that this third child is in fact Piper's daughter, Melinda. Since I'm hoping that Chris and Wyatt won't just watch as their mother is attacked by some kind of plant-like creature, I'm supposing that the next panel will show the use of their powers...?

And damn, even in comic book form, Piper's hair still looks amazing lol <3

Now, given the issues that Gregory and Ruditis touched upon, I'm assuming that while Paige may not have an affair with Leo, they are hinting that they have the power to put the girls' relationships in jeopardy. I don't really want to get my hopes up too high for Prue, or even Cole or Billie (who I completely forgot about :S), but given Ruditis' response, I'm assuming that there will at least be mention of most of the characters, specifically Darryl and Zankou, who usually go overlooked when listing old characters (especially the latter, who, unlike the rest of the names he mentioned, was not a main character).

And lastly, "demon rats" was the biggest spoiler. Whether it be "rat" in the sense of "sneak" or "double-crosser", or a literal rat, like the ones seen in Trial By Magic and Importance of Being Phoebe (which makes the most sense, since they were referred to as Rat Demons), we have some interesting twists to look forward to. I'm actually really impressed. Although the Rat Demons definitely wouldn't be my first choice, they were left relatively untouched ever since their first appearance (to this day, I'm still impressed with their 10-second cameo in 5x11), so if they are in fact dealt with in the comics, then they're already doing a better job than Brad Kern in the continuity department.

So excited!

But it did say "will debut at Comic-Con International in July"... does that mean that the release date was pushed back? :s

Bear in mind that some things won't seem exactly the way they did on TV. As for Melinda, I just looked at it as her being a young child fascinated by strange moving things. Can't put my finger on where I saw a similar scene, hmm.

1. I doubt Melinda is using magic. Like Brandon and CV said, children that young are easily fascinated. She might has well just be "doing like Mommy", as toddlers most often than not copy everything they see.

2. Issue #1 was always set to be released in July. It is Issue #0 that releases in June.

And, CV, you are totally right with your explanation. Both panels have been inversed. Though, if you look again, in the first and second pictures of the second panel (so, the first one, chronologically -- the one where the wee person touches the lady's bum) you can see that the people there are fighting, so they'd be expecting someone dying anyway.
