I don't think they did. Do they even need to ask him? He only appeared once in the series. He's not a part of the main cast.

The cover for issue 3 is, simply put, amazing. The very idea that the guy with the flames is Kyle gives me chills (heh, I didn't realize how ironic that sounds), but in the best way possible. I don't want to speak too soon, but I think it's safe enough to say that our beloved Charmed is in very good hands. Amazing.
As for whether or not they would need permission to use his likeness, I believe so. Think about it. Even if he was only in one episode, if they're going to be drawing him accurately, they're going to be capturing his likeness, which they will need permission to do. Besides, it's only permission, I don't think they get paid. Or if anything, not that much.

What do you mean thats kyle? Its not Kyle, its Tyler. I think you misunderstood when somebody said that the photomanipulated face of Paige is of when she was holdiing a dead Kyle.

I'm loving the cover of Issue 3, probably my favourite to date and I'm intrigued to see where the storyline will be going. And yeah, I think it's in safe hands as well.

Sorry, I meant Tyler. I didn't misunderstand, I just typed in the completely wrong name. You all knew what I meant, though. lol

Raven gregory twitted that the competition with Paul Ruditis followers isnt on but there will be an online preview in a couple of days. He also said that charmed issue #0 will be our own book of shadows. Lastly when asked about Prue he said: Ah Prue? She would be pretty cool to see again, wouldn't she? Who knows? Ask Paul:)

Prue will definitely appear at least once. Otherwise they wouldn't be dodging the question so much.
Paul answered my tweet. I said to him that I loved Pardon My Past and that I would've liked seeing another episode like that and he answered:
"So you're saying you like seeing The Charmed Ones in different costumes and we should do that as much as possible? Noted. ;p"
Hmmm... not sure what to say, but if they'll do a comic taking place in the '20s again, I'll be very happy.

lol anyone who doesn't know that by now clearly needs to have their glasses checked Or we could always redirect them to the people who don't understand the meaning of the word "news". It's a pity the whole issue won't be released. I was really anticipating its online release, as that's the only way I'll have access to these issues before I migrate west, which is in September. Brightside? At least the issues will be evenly spaced now, and I'll have to wait around one month instead of three to read Issue #2 after reading #1.

Found the synopsis for Issue #3, in spoiler tags just in case Someone...or something is hunting down the innocents that have been saved by the Charmed ones and murdering them in cold blood. As Piper, Phoebe and Page race to save the remaining innocents the forces of the underworld continue to gather the last remaining ingredients that will complete the ritual that will bring back the greatest foe the Charmed ones have ever faced. An enemy so powerful not even the power of three may be able to stop it from destroying us all. From: www.newsarama.com/comics/zenescope-august-2010-solicitations-100527.htmlAlso, the second/alternate cover for Issue #3 has popped up: forbiddenplanet.com/60154-charmed-3-b-cover-tony-shasteen/

I was spot on about the plot, wasn't I? Except the Billie thing.
Speaking of Billie, did they mash up Alyssa and Kaley's faces together in that cover? She really looks ugly. I like what they have done with Rose though. I'm not sure who's going to buy covers by this guy. Oh well.
Thanks David.

The greatest foe? I'll bet that's Zankou. I hope it's him.
The second cover looks ugly. I don't like it at all.

An enemy so powerful not even the power of three may be able to stop it from destroying us all. Clearly, the first name that comes to mind is Zankou. Second is Barbas. If I'm not wrong, those are the only two that The Power of Three never got rid of. Before you argue: it's not Zankou they vanquished personally, it's the Nexus. The latter's vanquish just so happened to get rid of the former. Same goes with Barbas: no amount of Power of Three mojo ever did him in. If the writers manage to explain his latest death (by potion, 7x01) by saying that the Tribunal didn't bring him back in full Demon-of-Fear mode or something, then he still counts.
But I dunno. That synospsis seems cryptic. If you analyze it, you may think the last line means they NEVER faced that enemy before. So something new? The Devil? Or some kind of Satan-y entity? I mean, the girls have dealt with gods and goddesses before, so they're clearly real in the Charmedverse.

I don't think it'll be the Devil.
Barbas would be cool to see back. Like he said, "you can't kill fear, fear always comes back". But I rather think it'll be Zankou. Like you said, the Charmed Ones only banished the Nexus which destroyed Zankou, so the Power of Three never really vanquished him.

I'm very intrigued by the synopsis for #3... the first name that came to mind was easily Zankou. His vanquish always seemed far too easy to me because like you all said, it wasn't really a vanquish for him, but rather just a convenient way to get rid of both of them in time for the show's end. As for the theories about Barbus, as happy as I would be to see another familiar face, I'm kinda tired of seeing his already. He started out as one of the biggest, baddest demons, but by his fifth or sixth appearance, he was just so... "blah". I hate to say it, but I'm glad his vanquish in 7x01 was so lame, because by that time, so was he. I would also be hoping for The Source, had they not made his return in season 8 so... weak. Plus, #3's synopsis says that it might not be able to be stopped by the Power of Three, and The Source actually had a "Power of Three" spell written for his vanquish, so... that's out. :/ Reading it again, the synopsis says "so powerful not even the power of three may be able to stop it from destroying us all"... correct me if I'm wrong, but the [S4] Seer actually said "it will destroy us all" when referring to the Hollow...? If it is the Hollow, I'm not sure how I would feel about it. Aside from already bringing it back in S8's finale (don't really want to say "series finale" anymore... :s), they actually did it pretty good, in a way that it felt (and I don't like using this word a whole lot, but...) epic. Bringing it back just a little while later would kinda cheapen it for me. So... let's hope for Zankou! Thanks for sharing, David! ;D

I find him awesome I don't think it's the Hollow. The Power of Three had been able to 'stop' it in Forever Charmed. Remember Piper, Patty and Penny returning the Hollow back. I'm not sure, but I think there was this demon or magical being who made a reference to an "it" that would destroy everything as well. I think it was early on in the series, though I could be wrong.

It's a really cool way to bring old characters back without it looking cheezy, unlike other series *cough*Buffy Season 8*cough*. Still looking forward to seeing my favorite innocents. I'm guessing Billie will appear because she was technically an innocent saved by the Charmed Ones right?
Obviously enemy names that pop up right away is both Zankou and The Source. There's probably gonna be another Big Bad because there's got to be someone pulling the wheels. I personally would love it if it was either Zankou or The Source (off topic, but does anyone else prefer his look from season 3? I though it was very creepy and it was like mocking the side of good with the wings).
Barbas appeared way too much in the series. He's character was given a epic-like ending in "Sympathy For The Demon" and he was ruined in season 6.
I really love the idea of the Devil being the Big Bad. It's made clear in the series that the Underworld and Hell are two separate places.

I always thought the Underworld was Hell...when did they say it wasn't?
I like the Source more with the dark voice, red hands, and black cloak. His red costume looks great, and I like the reference to the Fallen Angel from Heaven, but I think the black cloak is subtler.
I don't think it's "the devil", like I already said. Demons and Devils are one an the same in the Charmedverse.
