Charmed Comic coming in summer 2010

The novels don't matter that much. They are often thought of as non-canon.

I hope they won't give all her powers back in Issue #0. Like Temporal Death, I also would like to read and issue where she earns them back.

Also, Piper's power in Morality Bites had already evolved, before 2009, so it had to have happened somewhere in 2007, 2008.

i found a post which says : the television series producers have final approval of everything in the novels, which could indicate the literature fitting into the established canon of the series and the so-called "Charmed universe"
and we must not forget that ruditis has written charmed novels

well i have no problem either way.But i hope i see her levitate again. i loved that power

about phoebe regaining her powers: its a question i will sure make to raven gregory or paul ruditis if i find them online on facebook. hope they answer

The Charmed novels are OBVIOUSLY not canon. Unless we consider the girls getting fireballs out of the blue canon (the Sphinx book), or Paige's green car turning red (I think that was the Garden of Evil one, or with the Wolf and Indian thing), and I'll leave it to that. Sure, some novels were good reads, but most of them were more blooper-filled than the actual show. I doubt the producers REALLY read what came on their desks...

Anyway, I know the series producers had the final approval but still, most of the novels are counted as non-canon. I remember reading a novel that had the sisters shooting fireballs for some reason.

Lots of the Charmed novels contradict the show (examples include "The Power of Three" and "Soul of the Bride"). I wonder if Ruditis will rewrite or transfer one of his Charmed novels that he has done into comic form. It would be really cool if that would happen.

Also, I would really like it if Phoebe did regain her powers back. However since the comics take place around late 2007-early 2008, I really wouldn't mind if Phoebe already has her powers back in the first issue and explanation is given in issue #0. It has been years since she lost them (around 2004). I think she would've done something between "Forever Charmed" and the first issue to get them back.

Paul Ruditis answered my question (if Phoebe would get her powers back) and he said "Maybe, maybe not. All will be revealed in time."

I don't think Ruditis will rewrite a novel into a comic. It would be cool though, but I think CBS rather wants new stories.

i think that when someone says <maybe, maybe not> he means probably yes

also i would not like to see ruditis make his novels into comics.
actually there is no way he could use his past stories cause the novels he has written are: one for season 5 (The Brewing Storm),
one for season 6 (As Puck Would Have It) and one more for season 7 (Leo Rising) The stories of past seasons will not match the storyline of season 9 that the comics will have.

Well, so ar Grams, and Patty. Didn't prevent us from seeing them around, did it? So were the Grimlocks, and Barbas.

After all, all we know about Zankou was that he was confined millenia ago, and then there's the hinted romance between him and Kyra. There's room for more development if they find a way to bring him back.

I think Ruditis had watched Something Wicca This Way Goes at the time of that interview. Zankou is also one of those demons you'll remember more easily then let's say "Stanly" the apprentice of Cronyn.

I do hope Zankou comes back, doesn't matter for how long. I liked the character so much. Oded Fehr also did an amazing job portraying him.

Didn't Phoebe vanquish Cole? It's the same, they had a romance, but then it ended. Kyra might have been partially responsible for his entombment, I think Zankou mentioned Kyra betraying him.

I loved Kyra. They should bring her back and make her lesbian with Phoebe. And Coop could be some sperm donor of sorts. Kyra had much more chemistry with Phoebe than Coop did. Heck, anyone had more chemistry. I don't like Coop much.

I always felt that Phoebe could swing either way. So lesbian Phoebe-Kyra FTW?

I loved Kyra as well. I was sad when Zankou killed her. I don't really see her returning to the comic books, but it would be great if she did.

Yup, and Piper vanquished Jeremy, Grams vanquished The Necromancer, and Melinda banished Matthew... Wow, those girls are DOOMED. Eh.

Even though a Phoebe/Kyra pairing would be cool and definetly something new to the entire series, I really can't see Phoebe going both ways. Maybe it's because the show never really had it before. As I recall, Charmed only had about four gay references in its entire run (Season 1s "The Truth Is Out There And It Hurts", Season 2s "She's a Man, Baby, A Man!", Season 7s "Charrrmed", and Season 8s "Still Charmed And Kicking"). And also the fact that Phoebe was boy crazy throughout the show.

Zankou was flat out awesome. Best villain the show had. Although, after the return of the Triad in season 8, I would like to see a new big bad.

However, with the storyline being about the Charmed Ones past innocents, we may see some old faces. I would really love it if Max, Aviva, Ava, and Kit makes appearances. Max because he was the last one Prue stepped into the mother figure for (other than Piper and Phoebe). Aviva because I loved Danielle Harris since the Halloween movies. Ava because I really loved the episode she was in (one of my faves). And Kit because how can she not make an appearance? She was the girls familiar.

That's probably just TFAW's doing and not the guys at Zenescope. I love the reference to the first episode though.
