My 2.04 review: Alternate Season 2- Episode 4 – Nothing to Fear
-Yay, Piper’s opening up her club today. Im really interested in seeing how she tells her sisters about the name of the place. -I must admit, I had checked out your new site and was instantly spoiled by who Candice is because I had checked the section with occasional stars, but it was nice to see that you revealed her powers early, so it was fine. -Okay, I’m picking up from the teaser and I must admit, once again, I’m supposed to be doing homework, but I’ve been reading Act 1 without stopping to review and I was getting far along before I realized I want to review my points. -Something I noticed was that the Suit interrupted Madam Executive and she didn’t snap his neck or acknowledge it. I found that quite shocking considering the woman she is, but it was interesting to see her eyes flash crimson. We haven’t really gotten any power displays from here yet. -I also love when the Suit summons that creature in the containment circle. Did you get that idea from Supernatural? Or was it just your magical trap with a clever hit of alliteration? Either way, I love how the Suit held such dominance over the creature. Also, I was wondering when this creature would come into play because I was looking closely in your banner for this (btw, you should add the banners you wear to promote each episode to your main post. Maybe label it: Promotional Banners—or something of that sort) and I noticed that the blue wasn’t just some cool design, but what I thought to be a demon. -And this is what made me open my review file. When Piper forgot what orbing was. I found that so cool that it was acknowledged in that sense as I can’t remember Piper saying he orbs. Nice catch. -Oh wow, Prue turned to magic for her fear of Bucklands. Uh oh. Nice spell by the way. -Oh man, Prue just told off her boss. That can’t be good. I say “Go Prue” though since her boss is a b!tch. -Just something I’d like to address. When the Ice Creature attacks Candice, it said it knocked her to the “ground”. I think in this case, you’re supposed to use “floor” since it’s indoors. -Ooh, Phoebe had to trust the man. It was cool imagery to think of an unconscious Candice, the Man and Phoebe latching onto Candice’s hand and then they vanish in shadows. Very cool. But I must go back to doing my homework ☹ . Hopefully, I’ll finish early to get another act in. (Back to Reading) -So the Man’s order kinda have their own charges? Interesting. I wonder if we’ll get the background story of the Man. Still trying to figure him out. -OMG that scene was hilarious with Ryan and Prue! She is worst than Phoebe. -Ah, so Piper revealed the club name to the reporter. I like how it was done, though I always did like Piper’s line about “P3, a kick to the Power of Three” (or something of that sorts) -WOW, that end of that act was amazing. I swear I felt my heart beat rapidly when Phoebe turned around to see that the Man wasn’t there as Candice released her flames. Simply worded, but great intensity behind it. I truly mean that. -Yay, the dog is back. -Prue was getting down! You’re right, it was very similar to “Coyote Piper” but Coyote Prue was a hell of fun. Too bad she collapsed. -I found it obvious that Candice would be the one to destroy the ice creature and all, but I like how it was handled. I expected a stream of flames, but I like that you killed him through physical contact. -Ah, so are they all Elementals? The Man has lightning powers, Candice fire and I wonder what his deal is with this Cassandra chick. Old love, I suppose? Old partner? Maybe both. -I had a feeling that the Man was basically going to ask Phoebe to keep his secret. I look forward to when he explains everything about the order. -Prue and Ryan are going to get…it….on! Lol. -I definitely thought that Madam Executive was going to incinerate the Suit. I love how she says she’s going to be the Executioner.
Another damn good episode. This season is definitely coming along great and very Charmed. By the way, how many episodes do you have written so far and how many pages are they? They never seem long (except when I have homework that needs to be tended to). Overall, I loved it and I thought I was going to be a little upset with Prue kinda stealing the spotlight of Phoebe, but it was very amusing. Nice work, Reyn.

2.04 Review, I'm least ashamed of this lol: 2.04 Nothing To Fear Teaser: Oh, I liked this teaser, it had all of the sisters in each of their "worlds" so to speak. I like that Piper is finally getting her opening night for her club. And I like how you wrote Prue and Ryan's dialoge, they seem like a real couple and or as good if not better then Prue/Andy. And I can't wait to see how Phoebe deals with Candice's situation, and not to mention a risk of exposure. Act One: Interesting, I like how you transitioned between Madame Executive/The Suit, and The Line Speakers, I love how both sides are making plans to try and get Candice to their side, it's like a cooler way of "Charmed Again". I also dislike Prue's boss, she seems a little bitchy. Act Two: I love the Piper and Leo scene, they just seem like a nice normal couple, well normal wouldn't describe them I guess, but they seem so real now. And I'm glad you didn't make Piper all pissed off when Leo said she was focusing on the little things and being anal, because I think especially in Charmed's later years they made Piper a little too angry, like when she turned the reporters to rats in "Kill Billie Vol. 1", I understood she was annoyed by them but that way crossed the line of personal gain. I also like the Prue used another spell for herself more, I thin the last time was in "The Truth Is Out There.. And It Hurts" prior to the point of your series, and I couldn't help but chuckle when Prue told off her boss Rachel. I'm also liking Candice, she's like the everyday person and I love how you see her freak out after she first uses her powers, and how she basically lost her friends because of it, you gotta give her a little sympathy. And the last scene was also good, I like how the Man and the demon are trying to get Rachel, and I can't wait to see what happens next with that whole situation. BTW, I'm glad you are keeping the hidden room around for the series, Act Three: Haha, I just had another laugh at Prue commenting on Piper's opening stuff for her club, I can picture Prue saying that if she were under a spell, just so hilarious. OMG, that scene with Prue & Ryan was even more hilarious, I love how Prue keeps trying to seduce Ryan, and the last line where she says the car has a pretty big backseat. Haha, I love fearless Prue! Whoa, Candice is pissed off, and the Man just left Phoebe there to take care of it, that's a little rude but then again I wouldn't want to be there either. Act Four: Whoa, great act, I wonder if Prue's bar dancing will affect her and Ryan's relationship. I liked how you made the scene Prue's and it was very cool to see that side of Prue come out with the spell since we never really see that part of Prue that much. I also liked the closing scene with Candice fighting the demon off herself, and I might say she did it in a very cool fashion. I love that you brought back the ghost dog too, I can't help but like that dog even though it's dead. Act Five: Ok, now this is my favorite act. I like that Candice is going to an academy where other people with supernatural powers are. Also, the Man seems like he had a thing with Cassendra is some way or another. I really hope Candice shows up in the future along with the academy being brought up again, because that looks like a very interesting place. I also like how The Man asks Phoebe to not tell her sisters about the meeting they had, I can't wait to see if Phoebe keeps her promise or tells her sister. Act Six: Oh, very interesting. I like how Phoebe kept teasing Prue about the page in the newspaper, I must say if I already haven't that you have the sisters dialoge down to a que. It actually feels like the sisters are talking, and it's way better then the dialoge that happened between the sisters in the later years of the show. I also like how you resolved the whole Ryan/Prue thing, and I'm glad Ryan took it lightly. And it looks like Maddame Executive is getting a little cranky, I'm glad she pointed out to the Suit that sending an ice thrall after a person who possesses the element of fire is pretty stupid, and I can't wait to see what happens next with her plotting against the sisters.
Overall another really good episode. I liked how there were different storylines going on in this episode, this I think was more of a sisters episode, where each sister had their own little problem to deal with. Prue with her fear, Piper with her club opeining, and Phoebe with Candice and the demon. Not to mention we got more detail on who the Man is, and I think this episode moved the season along a little bit more. Another thing I can't wait to see is what will Piper and Leo's relationship face, since Leo has a job that's pretty much 24/7 and Piper has two jobs.

Yay! I managed to get through another episode. I guess being ill does have its upsides. Anyway my review... First of all i have to say that I loved the idea of this episode. I love that Prue cast a spell solely from herself and it completely backfired. I could see there being personal gain to it, but for the consequences to be that bad! Prue dancing on the top of the bar was amazing to read, it was lucky that Ryan was there to catch her as she fainted. I'm really glad that Ryan didn't completely turn his back on her after that, some guys probably would if they thought that that is what she is like when she is very drunk. Now then, as for the Candice story line, the idea was great and I'm glad that Phoebe could help her. I still wonder whether the Grey Robed guys are good, I still see them as neutral and looking out for themselves. The suit guy and Madame Executive still intrigue me, and I still think that the Suit is Jackson, it seems to make sense. One thing that slightly bugged me though, and I hope you don't completely hate me for this, but there was a line that Leo said that just didn't seem like him. Leo: I agree that you are being obsessive and anal Because of the time that he was brought up in, I couldn't see him using the word anal. I'm sorry, its just an observation from me. Anyway, looking forward to when I can read more.

You are ill, lexi? That sucks Hope you feel better soon. Some review comments: I figure since Shannen was responsible for choreographing Piper's bartop dance in Coyote Piper that Prue would be able to 'get her dance on' and easily become the focus of the room. Glad that you enjoyed the scene - once Prue's spell backfired, I had to include something like that into the episode! Ryan was indeed very understanding when it came to her behaviour - though that may be due to other factors than just 'he's a nice guy'.
The Grey Robed guys certainly have their own agenda, which will be explored in greater detail as the season progresses. Candice will also make a re-appearance - as I had a lot of fun with her character, and I think she's a good friend for Phoebe to have.
Regarding your Suit = Jackson comment - I'll mention that the Suit is not Jackson - the two parts are played by different people. But the Agent that Madame Executive has watching the sisters could certainly be Jackson. Or any of the other characters we've been introduced to.
Also - I would never hate you for voicing your opinion! In fact I appreciate the criticism, as hearing things like that make the series stronger. I agree that the choice of words for Leo doesn't reflect his character, and when I revise the episode, I will most likely change that word for something that more accurately reflects Leo's spoken dialogue. Thanks again for the review, Lexi - and I hope you are feeling much better soon!

Next one Hum, since last episode, my mind is warning me against Jackson lol I’m keeping an eye on both he and that dear Ryan… Oh, is Candice a Firestarter then? I admit I saw you talking about the Academy over at TRoaP and I kinda linked that to this… I’m too curious for my own good lol Glad to see Leo, though it’s strange he does not know what’s going on, for once… Poor Prue. Come on, girl, you’re strong and smart, you know better. What with the kick-ass powers! Well, power, as of now. Damn Rachel, she’s a bitch! Guess you need one of those once in a while to keep it as realistic as possible lol Oh, M. Executive. The Third? How many mysteries are you going to plant into the story, Tash? Gosh, I can’t keep the count lol I guess the Third is either those Line Speakers you’ve been showing us, or your version of the Triad or something? What’s sure is they scare the wits out of our little lady Ex… OK, trustee? What do they mean by that? God, I didn’t even know the noun lol and so, I was right, the Line Speakers are the Third… Well, it’ll be great to be calling them the Third cause “Line Speaker” is long! Lol jk And they must be pretty powerful at that, to scare Exe that way… but they can’t be good in the end, can they? When the Suit tells M.E the forces at work are not from the good camps… argh, bad Tash!! Ah, some dark magic Am I wrong or is it the first time we’ve seen some used on your series? And Latin, he? Lol I’m always too curious and try to translate Latin spells. Mind to gimme a hand ? Wow, this Suit guy certainly is powerful beyond the casting of spells. Black eyes and all :s Aha, funny how Piper didn’t know how orbing is actually called lol Ok, who the hell is this Candice that escaped every Founder radar??? Lol Oh, are Leo and Piper having their second “first date” ? how sweet. Wow, I would never have imagined Prue in the same personal-gain situation as Phoebe, cross-legged on her bed, perusing the BoS to find a magical answer to a mortal problem. Bad Prudence! Ehe Has she called the Book a bust? Damn, girl, watch your words, the thing is sensitive -_- Well, not too bad for a first spell, Prue Why did the bookcase in the hidden room shine? Because the “Man” picked up a book? Huh? Yeah, Go Prue! Well, you should also start looking for another job, just in case lol Ho, Phoebe, too late :/ Too bad. Can’t wait to see how she’ll try to get to Candice now though ^^ CANDICE (angry, acidly) Really, Phoebe? You've had experience with shooting bursts of flame from your fingertips? This is funny when you consider that Phoebe actually did that in her Charmed (show)’s past life lol Wow, that icy demon is something, but that “Man” too >< He has some powers… Elders powers in the real Charmed universe, as I’ve seen – well, except for the shadowing in and out lol God, I can’t make up my mind about him! Good, bad? Twice he’s helped the sisters: Prue in 2.02, and now Phoebe… but not without utter motives… :s :s Wow, Prue’s become one bitch with that spell lol Darn, this mystery man has nerve, asking trust. I’m at a loss about him, seriously – and you must be very happy about it lol Wait, Candice’s the trustee? But I thought that was Phoebe? Did I misread? What the hell is even a trustee in the first place? Lol I don’t know what to think about the Man’s story… could it be a set-up? I’m so torn. Damn, that spell sure has get her rid of all fears! Loool the ending of that scene, with Ryan’s “Prue!” had me chuckle! Ah, love how Piper had Jackson continue the interview in her place Huh-oh, things are spicing up in the woods for Pheebs :s Where’d the coward go! :-o Aha, poor Piper, first her sister, then her boyfriend, and now the ghosty doggy! Aha, Coyote Prue Prue collapsed? At past 12? Would the wearing off of the spell have any effect on her :s? Candice sure has learnt how to make fireballs quite quickly! Well, that icy demon stand no chance against her… fire versus ice, the battle’s all set…. Yeah, she’s sure a fast learner and that was quite some vanquish Oh, blue and green bands? Should I guess that Candice’s white gown will have red bands? … and should I guess this is about the four elements? Or five, since the whole business with metal and the Nexus… This looks even more interesting! But “Firestarter” keeps ringing in my mind and now that Aleisha have talked about “The Academy”, said mind’s screeching “set-up” and “Ludlow.” :s We’ll see about that. OK, we have an issue, here Tash: the title of your AS2 is “building A mystery” yet you’re building tons of them! Lol It’s getting hard to follow… OK, a little supposition: This Cassandra chick and our little mystery shadow man must have had some kind of affair – a love one maybe? And there seems to have been some drama with the last “flame-dancer”… Is “flame-dancer” your way to name what Charmed tagged as “Firestarters”? So, with that, he can also heal people? Interesting. I wonder where all Phoebe’s trust for him is coming from… The scene of Prue’s awaking was so much fun! But just something bothering me: how would Piper know Prue wrote her own fear-removing spell? Prue has made no mention of that and, for what we know, Piper might not be aware there was none in the book. Oh, right! So, little Mr Prof plays the prude card all during Prue’s inhibitionless phase, but now she’s back to normal, he has a go at it, he? Right, evil, evil man lol Ow, M.E and her crimson eyes. She is a fair enemy to the sisters. Though what she lost to the Charmed Ones remains a mystery… (well, it would, if I had not been so curious as to read some of the reviews of other people... damn lol though, how she lost it fortunately remains a mystery! lol)

Hey, Tash! Review: Teaser:Great beginning; nice to know that Piper's opening her club, dying to know the name. Oh, it must be really hard for Prue to go back to work. That scene was written really well. I also like how Ryan was comforting her. Nice to read Phoebe hanging out with her friend. Ooh, awsome, Candice has a big part! I wanna see how this turns out. Haha, that Rachel is a real b*itch, lol. Is Rachel the old woman from Bucklands in season one, btw? What's with the crimson eyes color of Madam E. (Hmm, that's a nice nickname. Lol) I'm actually dying to read when she meets the Charmed Ones. It's gonna be awsome. I wonder who that man is. It's not the same one as the man from the previous episode, is it? Ooh! I love when the Suite summoned that monster/demon. Well decripted and planned. Act One:Nice beginning for this act. It's really original. You always start your episodes and acts perfectly. Haha, loved the whole orb thing. Oh, so the Elders don't know anything about Candice. That's a twist. Still wondering who she is. Okay, did Leo orb out before Prue came in? I was a little confused that he wasn't there as he didn't orb out. Ooh! Prue's casting spell! Dying to know what the backfire is. Nice, spell, also. This scene reminds me of 2.03, when Phoebe casts her own spell in her room. Good idea. Wow, the Hiden Room still has a part of this. Awsome, looking forward to know more and more about it. Lol, that'll show Rachel. Go, Prue! Haha. It just got on my nerve when Phoebe didn't have a moment to explain, lol. It's not you're fault, though. I just hate it when that happends. (In any series, really.) Ooh! Love the fight scene in the dorm room. I love the Man's power. Awsome. Okay, I'm assuming this Man is the Masked Man. I just really want to know this character as Brandon's banner made me want to even more. Lol. Great cliffhanger for act one. I liked that Phoebe trusted him. I kinda feel there's a connection. That's what's making me think he's the Masked Man. Act Two:Okay, really funny start. The spell is starting to backfire and I'm loving it already. I was smiling when I read that first scene with Prue being so bossy and loose Lol. Annoyed Piper is hilarious! Lol, nice little comedy here. Love it. Okay, so, now I'm not entirly sure his the Masked Man, since Phoebe looks into his 'eyes'. But, we'll see after all. I love the whole conversation between Phoebe and the Man. It really cleared things up. So, Candice is not a witch. I wanna know what she really is. A simple LOL for Prue's naughty behaviour and clothing. She's just too funny here. It's great to imagine her like this. Simething totally different from Prue. Tash, thank you for that spell and it's backfire! You rock. haha. I also love that Ryan says 'Prue!' everytime she says something. This is simply hilarious, Tash. And there goes Ryan with his 'Prue!'. Lol. Btw, what's a (V.O)? Piper's worrying when talking to the reporter is very realistic and very Piper-like. Her body's infront of the reporter, but her mind doesn't have place there, lol. Ooh! So, the club's name is 'Alchemy'? I like it. Really unique. I'm actually glad you changed it. Although, I prefer P3. It's more 'hip'. Not that you aren't. What an awsome cliffhanger! Where did the man go? Just amazing cliffhanger for this act. Act Three:. Another funny line. I could imagine it perfectly. Ooh! The dog, again! I'm dying to know what's his part! Tash, this is just hilarious! God, I love this line. I'm chuckling right now. Lol. Thanks, I needed it. Oh my God! Prue on the bar?! That must be hot. Yes, it's like 'Cayote Piper', but I don't give a damn. It's nice to imagin Prue doing that. I wonder what hapenned to her when she collapsed. Oh, right, it's midnight!! Lol. Nice to see Piper and Ryan starting to be friends. Oh, I loved the vanquish of the demon! Go, Candice! She must be strong. Overall, great act three. The hottest, too. Lol. Act Four:Poor Candice, it must be hard to give up her family and friends and her life. I absolutely love the idea of the Academy. It's just one idea after another from you, Tash. This is like the magical collage, isn't it? And with dorms. I love dorms, lol. I wonder who this Cassandra is. Looking forward to seeing another new character. Okay, it's typical that the Man told Phoebe to keep it a secret. I really wanna know more about this Man and his answers. Lol, yeah, Phoebe wouldn't believe. Nice act four. Act Five:I love the conclusion of Prue finally finding out what hapenned. It's like she was drunk, well, spell-drunk, as she doesn't remember anything. LOL! Love this line. Very Phoebe-like. I saw Ryan's apratment on those photos. And wow! I would to live in a a place like that. Ooh! Go Prue and Ryan! They're getting it on! Lol. I also love this line: Great ending. I love Madame E's (That's what I'm gonna call her from now on, lol) cruleness! It's so evil. I love her plan of being the executioner of the CO. I hope she comes face to face with them in the next episode. Overall, awsome episode with great humor. 10/10. Looking forward for the next episode. Fantastic job, Tash!

Here is my review for Chapter 4!: Scene 1 - Yay! the club is going to open! I am really excited! But, I know the club isn't named the same, so I am curious to know what the club with be called. Ryan is really nice. To stop his lecture, and help Prue to going back to Bucklands. That was...nice. lol. Hmmm, the woman is given pyrokinesis as a power...very interesting. I would like to see how this goes. lol.
Scene 2 - Well, as we know, the Elders can be oblivious to the fact of other witches, as we saw with Paige, so I am not surprised she doesn't have a whitelighter, unless there is more to her than meets the eye...
Scene 3 - Well, I think Rachel might be more than meets the eye as well. Or maybe I am over speculating. I think Prue will get over it eventually, just maybe another day. She has to go into the room to do her job, so...lol..
Scene 4 - The Third? very original. I think that this girl IS a very important figure and might be int he rest of the season, or at least the next few episodes. I can't wait to read more!
Scene 5 - Hmm...the witch is to become part of their order, but what does that entail? This is very intriguing, so many answers, but the questions are not asked, can't wait to see how this turns out.
Scene 6 - A very interesting demon, I can't wait to see how that comes out. Now, that is the problem with all demons, they always send other people to do their dirty work, and what they need done, never follows through. Oh well...another failure for evil...lol.
Scene 7 - I think Phoebe is overreacting a little bit of the vision she had. She has the impression that the girl is going to die, but she isn't. Maybe socially...I guess that's Phoebe...lol. I am also figuring it out...The Elders don't know that Candice has powers because she is going into a demonic order, so that is why the Elders wouldn't consider her a witch. Piper and Leo are such a good couple, always have, always will...
Scene 8 - Whoa, Prue is going to use the BOS to do what she needs to face Bucklands? She was the sister who was dead set against personal gain...I guess we will see how this plays out...
Scene 9 - Hmmm....I wonder what book the man took? It must have been important to take, and that room must be pretty important.
Scene 10 - Well, I guess we can say that the spell worked...haha. That reminded me of when the Essenced Piper in 'Coyote Piper' when she talked back to her old high school rival. lol.
Scene 11 - Awww...her premonition played out. That is really sad for Candice. But is she is to be part of The Third, then friends don't really matter do they? lol.
Scene 12 - Well, I guess this introduces the man Phoebe falls for. hmm...his powers are interesting, yet he is the same guy who went into the hidden room. So I guess we will just see how he plays out I guess. It is interesting to see how this goes. lol. Also, Candice is a little embarressed and scared as Piper was when she got her powers, and Phoebe probably could have helped her if she wasn't interrupted by the demon.
Scene 13 - Man, Prue was a...female dog. lol. Man, who knew a fearless spell could do something like that. It is a little weird, but I wouldn't have expected that from her. But spells make you do weird things...lo.
Scene 14 - The MAN seems very nice to Phoebe, maybe even her love interest? But anyways, the Third seems on good...for now, but who knows what will happen, they could be evil, and he just says that it is good for the sake of Phoebe not attacking them like the Avatars. Guess I'll see again...how this plays out.
Scene 15 - Wow...that spell is really something. She is really different, not even like mean, more like suppressed bad side is coming out. All the things she isn't is coming into play. Nice spell, for it is making Prue very disturbing to me. lol.
Scene 16 - Alchemy...hmmm interesting, very different from P3. Though I liked the symbolism behind P3, Alchemy is a very different name. Interesting...
Scene 17 - Wow, Candice is like suicidal! Hopefully nothing bad happens...lol.
Scene 18 - That's sweet that leo has come to support her, yet has disappeared. lol. I am interested to see how this spell of Prue's comes out. Also, as a little side note, when she will tell him about her being a witch. Though it is early in the relationship, I can see this going places.
Whoa...Prue IS doing a Coyote Piper, or in this case Coyote Prue. I have a feeling her little stunt makes the club a bigger success. lol. Just a feeling.
Scene 19 - Wow, Candice took that well, as many in Charmed have. So, not that big a deal. lol. She also is pretty powerful to have vanquished a demon so quickly, and to have been able to control her power that quickly. I wonder what shall happen next.
Scene 20 - I feel bad for Candice, for she cannot return to the life she knew, or be able to see any friends, all magic all the time, it can't be all that fun...lol.
Scene 21 - The Academy? So much info in one ep! lol. I know this isn't like the Demonic Academy, but I am just curious to know what they do, and even if they are good or not. So much to know, but not enough time! lol. Guess I will find out soon...
Scene 22 - Keeping their meeting a secret? Well THAT is suspicious. I bet they are evil, and putting on the act of good. Wy would Madame Executive be so worried? She isn't worried about the Charmed Ones and they are the most powerful witches of all time! So...yeah. lol.
Scene 23 - I told you it would make the club a success lol. But if the spell made Prue forget, that would be bad...lol. Well, it did make her forget. That sucks. lol. Phoebe does do the little sister thing which is funny, I hope that we see this a little more often.
Scene 24 - hehe, Ryan and Prue are funny, but we know now what those two are doin....lol.
Scene 25 - Ryan is the agent! That is not cool...I thought he would be a good guy for her...man that is really sad. I could be wrong, but I am like 95% sure that is it Ryan. For he talks about knowing Prue, and who else would know but Prue? Man...that sucks for her...
DONE!

Review Completed The beginning is very well played out. I like how it starts and everything. Piper's character is portrayed good in this scene. She does over procrastinate many times over the smallest things. (not sure if I spelled that right?) This scene makes me wonder. What is Prue doing at Bucklands now? It is very shaky and it makes you question. Also why is Ryan so persistant on getting to Prue's good side?. He is trying very hard. LOVE THE Phoebe premonition. However I would not think she would answer back at all. To be honest if Phoebe was really seeing and feeling what she did see, and that was her friend I would picture Phoebe as speechless. Maybe just a stair at the friend / the book. However I like when she dropped the book. Its a very good young Phoebe thing. I have a feeling that this girl whoever she is may know of her powers and if not maybe someone in her family does. Maybe something in her passed occured and she recieved the powers. However I too am not shocked that the Elders havent figured out. They seem to not connect the dots. I dont like Rachel. Are her and Madame Executive related lol? Cause I think they carry the same attitude gene. Its really not that funny though because I am already not liking Rachel and its hard for me to not like a character. Even madame Executive I like in a devious evil sort of way. Rachel however is very normal so she makes me hate her. very cool. Although Im thinking when Madame Executive refers to the third? is that the Founders or another group? Very interesting chapter, is this mortal to be used against the charmedones? or will Phoebe be getting to the innocent first.. I like the way this is coming to play out. I like the suit, he is a good person to take orders from, a leader even maybe. I rather him than Madame Executive. lol!! this scene is very Paige like. I wondered how come the Elders havent found / known anything about this unsuspected gifted witch. Or demon however you may look at it. Prue heading to the attic... This could only get more interesting. Oh!! Prue using personnal gain. I never thought of Prue as this type, its more Phoebe's domain. Lol!! Has it worked? I really like this mystery man, he is beginning to be one of my favourite characters. , He's always up to something fishy. For lack of better terms. WOOHOO!! way to go Prue. I love Prue's courage, her character to speak her mind. Not many characters have that and Prue defenately does. I did not expect Candice however being able to use her powers this soon. I really thought Phoebe would beat her to it before the premonition took place, and played out. However it is better that it did play out. The scene with Phoebe / the Man is very cool. Fast thinking, thats good to have. Especially for Phoebe. It comes in handy. Also I understand Cadince and think that she is not grasping the situation fully but who's to blame her? I think she will be stuck with this for years to come.. I cant picture Prue as the bossy type, not with Piper anyways there so close. Why would she be soo bossy? However Prue does seem to have a popular backround so maybe. It just seems so not Prue. The man is a liar, no matter how much he loves Phoebe. I know he knows what attacked them. I know he's hidding important facts from Phoebe. However like Prue said how could hiding things from the ones you love help them in the end? Wow! Prue acting carless and upfront. So not her. It doesnt match but it seems to make her more of an attractive spouse. Fun. Like Phoebe. However its weird. Like she shouldnt be doing it. I dont know if its just me but I feel like Piper would be more dedicated to talking about her club than she was. Phoebe and the girl. I think they will be of equal power if they would fight. You see the girl Candice has the advantage of power but Phoebe is very fit. She knows martial arts. This will be interesting.. Haha!! Leo just vanishes from sight and the cute dog appears. Piper is going to loose it!! I am beginning to worry about what is wrong with Prue. I really do like Candice's powers. Very cool and she seems to have a handle on them. Pretty quick. Is this girl Cassandra the Man's Past? Maybe a past girlfriend gone bad or something.. Its catching my attention. This man is very intelligent. Evil or not he is smart for a magical being. Not all of them are. I like that quality. lately ive been finding Prue's comments very funny. More like halerious they suit her. She is very smart but only uses them when she deems necessary. Wise woman. I am worried now at what awaits the charmedones, and how they will get out of this jam with Mrs Executive. Another thing is are the Man and the Suit two different people ?. Its a bit stupid but what are " The Man's " Purposes. Is he against what the Executive is standing for?

Massive Review, DW! A few comments: Ryan is a sweetie - not that I'm biased at all! But it was a lovely gesture of his, and quite risky too, given he didn't know 100% how Prue would react. Pryan power! lol I can say that Rachel is just how she appears - a meddling, stab you in the back b*tch. She's nasty and spiteful and perhaps she'll make a reappearance later, but she isn't magical or anything special. Glad you liked The Third! There's a whole hierarchy of good beings, and their name relates to where they fit in that hieararchy. The rest of the hierarchy is made up of The Whitelighters and another group that hasn't been mentioned yet. They will be around later in the season, though There's a big whole process related to how someone becomes inducted into the Order - it's probably too large to dedicate a whole episode to, but I wouldn't mind perhaps writing the scenes as an webisode or something - perhaps as a part of the bonus features forum. I don't know. I'll see how things go - if I can't add it in to an episode, it just might be the first in a series of webbies That's Phoebe - over-reacting a bit With regards to The Third - they aren't an evil order - quite the opposite. But there is a reason the Founders don't know about Candice. I think Prue's decision to use the book for what she did shows just how much the fear was affecting her. To have something like that happen to you would be a huge thing, and for Prue it was enough to seriously rattle her. She's still trying to come to terms with what happened, and using the book in this way was a way for her to stop the problem without having to face the problem - a bandaid solution, if you will Heh. You know - Piper does get to talk to her high school rival, but not for a little while. That's scheduled for 2.14 I wanted Alchemy to have a completely different vibe to P3, and part of creating that vibe was to give the club it's own history. I like that it is it's own character, and isn't simply a place that the sisters retired to after a busy day of demon hunting. I enjoyed the original P3, but to be honest, the place came off as being rather soul-less. I'm trying not to let that happen here 95% sure that Ryan is the Agent, eh? Interesting...very interesting.... Thank you for that fantastic review, DW! Much appreciated! Another huge review from you, melindacharm! You are keeping me on my toes with your comments! I like it Some replies: Right spelling on procrastinate! A trait I share with her, unfortunately. As a wise man once said "hard work pays off later, but laziness pays off now." I think Ryan wanting so badly to get on Prue's good side is just his way of showing how much he cares for her. He really does like her, and this is his way of showing that she is special to him, and that he sees a future for them. He's a sweetie! Fair call with the Phoebe scene - I'll take a look at it in a rewrite Rachel is a nasty person! One of those co-workers who likes nothing better than to stab you in the back when you're not looking. She really does have no redeeming features. Luckily she's just a one-off character. She might make a re-appearance later on in the season, but she's not important to any plots. The Third is another group to the Founders. There's a hierarchy of good beings. So you have The First (who we haven't met yet), The Second (who are Whitelighters and the Founders) and then The Third (who The Man belongs to). They're all good beings, but each does a different job and performs a different function. It is out of character for Prue to try a personal gain spell - but I wanted to show how much the shooting affected her. She's really been battling her emotions and thoughts regarding that situation, and to her the only way to push through the problem is to deal with it in a way that enables her to manage her feelings without having to explore her feelings. If that makes sense. The spell allows her to deal with her issue without actually dealing with her issue. The problem for Prue is that the spell not only took away her fear of going back to the room where she was shot, it took away her fear of everything. So she was no longer restricted by any type of fear (ie social norms, correct ways to behave etc). If she wanted to do or say something, she did - she was completely uninhibited. So her behaviour with Piper and later her behaviour at the opening of Alchemy reflected this newfound inhibition. Prue normally would never even consider doing those things - but under the spell's influence she did and said whatever she felt like doing and saying. Aww! Poor The Man! He's not a bad guy, honest He's just careful when it comes to providing information. Heh - how fantastic is the dog? I just love him! And who wouldn't want a ghost dog as a companion! All the plus's of a dog without any of the negatives! Though it will be interesting to see what would happen if Kit and the dog ever met. Cassandra is definitely part of the Man's past. And she's a fascinating character as well - though she's very strong of character and determined. You really wouldn't want to mess with her. Yep - The Man and the Suit are two different people. The Suit is an evil demon whereas The Man is a goodguy. Secretive and mysterious, yes, but also a good guy. Again - awesome review! Loved reading your comments

Thanks. I try. I agree, and I much would like to know who's the wise man. . Its weird though because I would never have pictured you as the type to procrastinate. Ive noticed that the people that do are the ones who are the most alert in life though. I know im very forgetful ( a flaw of mine), but in the end I know my place in life. Guess what Im saying. Ryan is a sweetie, he does try to hard on occasion though. Ive noticed. Maybe Prue should do something for him in exchange. Hehe. ok, also I want you to know if im saying anything thats over stepping my limits as a member let me know. , I dont want to make this hard for you. Thats great new!! I dont understand though why you have her in the storyline though, but I guess having non- active characters is just as important as the active ones. Understood, Why havent we met the first? Why are they divided into groups instead of acting as one. Another thing is are they viewed by the other group as a threat?. Thats scary. I totally get that the spell made her do those things if you know what I mean. Act of of place and that but still. Prue cannot snap out of it?. She has will power. Out of the three girls I find she is the strongest even when something infiltrates her mind. oh.. Interesting. The Man, but why so careful? Even if he works under a different leader why cant he tell Phoebe what he feels instead of being reserved and secretive. Its an attractive quality no doubt but it has its disadvantages. Almost as if he cannot be with someone. Cannot open up. yes it would be something if Kit met the dog. The thing is Kit is real where as the dog is dead. Kit is also a familiar which adds to her knowledge. The dog is simply.. A dog. Cute though Does the Suit have an interest in a charmedone?. Or anyone. Thankyou!! I like to comment. I cant wait to tell you more ideas for upcoming episodes & my writting.

Heh - I know what you mean! I don't do too much procrastinating - I always get things in on time and hand in work I'm happy with. But I still feel slightly guilty with the amount of time I spend on certain things (writing) when compared to other things (actual work). Heh - I'm sure Prue will return the favor - perhaps cook breakfast for him sometime! No worries - I'll let you know But I doubt that would happen - it's really only when someone is being negative or critical for no reason without having arguments to back up their points that it would be considered 'stepping over the line'. I have no problems with hearing criticism - it's only when it becomes character bashing for the sake of character bashing that I consider it out of line Heh - so this is information that other people don't have - but since you've been reviewing up a storm I think it's only fair you get some spoilers that others don't The good guys are divided into groups depending on their role in the hierarchy. The groups act independently, but each uses the other when needed. So the First are the information gatherers - the group that infiltrates and researchers the baddies and provides the information that the other two groups need in order to be successful. Think of them as the scholars, as well as the spies and assassins. They are called The First because they provide the information that the Second and Third use - and without that information the other two groups would be lost. The Second are the Whitelighters, and they are the protectors or the bodyguards of the hiearchy. They use the information provided by The First to decide who needs protecting and who has the ability to become a part of their ranks. They are the peacemakers of the hiearchy - the non-violent souls. They protect others who need it without resorting to all out battles. And then there is The Third - who are the warriors of the hiearchy - the soldiers in the war against good and evil. They provide the muscle and are the ones the good guys call when they need demons dispatched or they need someone to provide the firepower. However they are more than just soldiers - they too have their scholars and their healers - and they are the ones who are in the forefront during the wars between the two sides. They are called the Third because they are the third and last line of defence of the powers that be. There's a lot more to each of the groups than that quick summary - but that gives you an idea of the hiearchy and how it is organised. And of course you'll learn more about each group during the season Well - the Spell Prue created was a time based spell - so she was under it's influence until the stroke of midnight, when she then reverted back to her old self. So in that regard she couldn't simply snap out of it. She definitely has strong willpower - but the way in which she wrote the spell (and since it was her first she made mistakes in her wording) meant that she was under its influence until midnight. Ahh - but that's the thing! Does The Man actually have feelings for Phoebe - or is the interest all one-sided on her end? What exactly has he done to show he loves her? The Suit doesn't have an interest in the Charmed Ones other than the interest any demon has in them - to kill them and pave the way for the demons to reign. Bring on the ideas! lol

I understand, So its as if you want to spend more time doing one thing and less doing another. However it always turns out to be the opposite?. cook breakfast!! LOL! I cannot picture Prue cooking If my life bet on it. Prue is a horrible cook. ;D right, thats good to hear. There's boundries but you take both positive and negative critisicm. Hey, can I ask what would be bashing a character? At what point does it get to be too much. Curious. YEAY!! spoilers. , when you say heirachy what does that mean?, sorry I think im confusing it with another word. Is it a category?. Or is it power / strength based? ha! you planned that didnt you? , one group is doing the research and schooling while the next is not knowlegable but goes for the attack on the first groups commands. I always thought as the assasines and them to be at the bottom of the food chain " expression" but hold the greatest deal of power. I find myself asking many questions now about the second group. For instance, if they are peacemakers why are they fighting?, who are they to choose who joins them?, and what if the people they are protecting dont really need protecting / can protect themselves. Has anyone the witchlighters protected, ever turn against them?. I mean its possible. Yes, I am interested in learning more about all groups. The third seems to me to be the most exciting group of them all. They are the fighters, they do the dirty work. Lol. However in all of this were are the protectors that stop the secrets from getting out?. For the Grand design? for exposure?. That is to me the top of the list. understood, but what rings a bell now is why is always midnight?. A Phoebe phrase probably hehe. Well im going to tell you this straight out, I love the man and all his qualities / characteristics. However if he uses Phoebe for the other side I am going to be so pissed!!. I believe he really loves her but I have a feeling there's a twist coming.. oh lovely. I still really dont see a clear path for the suit. I wonder if he will get burned by the evil side for not paying his dues. I will pm you for Ideas. Also I read until episode 9, so I hope you read thoughs too. ;D

That's exactly it! I know I should be spending time doing one thing, but I'd much rather be spending that time doing something else, and when I am spending time doing the something else, I feel guilty for not doing the thing I should be doing. It's too much! lol I know! I think she'd burn the toast and butter the eggs or something! Though I bet she makes a mean coffee... Well, for me, bashing a character would be a person going on a tirade about a character for no reason, or saying hurtful things about that character without justification. I don't mind if people dislike or hate my characters - but I don't like it when they hate them just to hate them, with no reason. Usually because those sorts of opinions: "Oh, I hate Jackson. He's not realistic at all..." usually devolve into a "you haven't written him well, you suck as a writer" tirade which isn't fun to read, and rather irritating when the person hasn't provided reasons as to why they think that way. I can handle people disliking my characters, and I can even handle people disliking the way I write, but I don't like mindless character assassination, nor do I like opinions expressed without reasoning or evidence. Ha! Sorry about that - when I say hierarchy I mean categories - think of each group structured like a pyramid, with the first at the top and the third at the bottom. The position of each group doesn't matter so much as the point that they all interlock with one another - each needs the other to survive, but that doesn't mean each group agrees with the methods the other groups utilize. I always thought that way about the assassin group as well - I don't think people realise how much power that group has. They deal in knowledge - and as everyone knows, knowledge can be deadly. Each of the groups have subsets (for example the first group has both scholars who collect information, assassins who take information, and guards who protect information) and the majority of individuals who belong to these groups have powers that compliment their positions (so many individuals with enhanced sense powers or powers of invisibility/intangibility etc are a natural fit for the First group). The strength of their powers, however does also come into it - with those individuals with stronger powers rising to the leadership positions within the groups. The Third is definitely the most interesting group to me as well! They're the group I've spent the most time fleshing out and planning (I even have their own language written down!). The protectors who stop the secrets from getting out come from the First group. They are the ones who investigate any breeches of information and put a stop to it if they do. The Second and The Third help with this, but one of the main reasons for the existence of the First is to stop any secrets from seeping over into the mortal consciousness. The Second group are the bodyguards of the hierarchy, in a way. They are the ones who protect those who need protecting. They are peacemakers and they are averse to fighting, and as a result they dislike the Third and their agressiveness. However, there are some amongst the Second who understand the need for fighting - who recognise that sometimes action is needed and words aren't enough. These individuals will sometimes request the help of the Third with a particular individual they are protecting - if a whitelighter feels that their charge needs more protection than they can provide, they sometimes call upon one of the fighters to help them guard their charge. The leaders of the Second frown upon this practice, but it is done on occasion. And there have been occassions where some witches that whitelighters have been protecting have turned on them (and finding them and stopping the threat they pose has resulted in the formatin of a specific group amongst the Third). What happens when one of those individuals turns against the Second is actually one of the main plots this season Heh - why midnight indeed. I guess it's just one of those things! The Man's a good guy! He definitely doesn't try to use Phoebe for ill. But having said that, his reasons for being in her life aren't as cut and dry as he has made her believe. He is hiding something - and that something will be revealed in episode 2.15 Heh. Maybe The Suit isn't actually a demon, but is a spy working for good! Or maybe not Thanks for the pm I'll respond to your other episode thoughts a.s.a.p!

Happy to be back! lol! Know the feeling, but dont let guilt get to you. It only makes things worse than they are. If you are having fun doing what your doing in the moment its the right thing.
Probably mean coffee, and great smoothies.
Yes, I can imagine that could get very aggitating and disappointing. As I said though everything comes with a good and bad. I cant and wont support that way of thinking either but I do realize its out there. So wether we decide to be upfront about it is something that we decide personally but if we do my opinion is its a never ending stream of nothingness so it shouldnt be approached.
Very interesting, You would think that if a group of demons or other magical beings need to rely on another stronger group they would be concerned about they way they went about doing there job. Just a thought im thinking..
NICE! invisibility / intangibility are natural powers. Hehe, well for the first group. I find that cute. They are still valuable powers for the lowest group. People underestimate them more than they account for.
I like the first too as well, it is nice to know that someone is still following the wiccan rules to the book.
WOW! so much information to take into account for all three groups. I like the fact that the groups are insinked yet they are seperate. They still depend on the other but have there own views and opinions on the design and the manner in which the other group preforms the task. So what I understand is the following :
first group: First group is like investigators. They check research and examine the situation. They than have people to guard the information they have gathered and do not attack but they do keep a status and dont want anyone to find out about them, what they are doing, and the magical world?
second group: Peacemakers, disagree with the third group however they have their own opinions on the topic. In a way if needed they will call for the third group if they cannot protect a whitelighter / innocent efficiently. They do things there own way and are ready to disguss something before battling it out.?
third group: fighters till the end, they dont like to talk smoothly about something but are ready to get information needed to back their case up and help the first group in covering exposure tracks. This group has its way of thinking as well and is more upfront about there tactics.
lol Yes its something that caught my eye. The midnight thing.
Very surprising. Innocent man no longer looks so innocent. I wonder if this thing he is hiding will seperate Phoebe more from her sisters than she expects.
That suit being a spy working for good....... I dont think so. Maybe he is working for another category or for the " Good" species in charmed but I hardly doubt he is working for good as in the charmedones and the innocents. That aspect but its a possibility that he is working against the demons. Who know.. Im open.
THANKYOU!!

I like that outlook! Thankyou - I will keep that in mind! A very good way to look at things lol
Your summary of each of the three groups is spot on, and a very good summary of the groups! Each group has the capacity to function separately from the other (and all of them have secrets) but they also need the others to survive as well. The First are probably the group with the most harmonious relationships with the others, as The Second and Third disagree with one another over their methods. Having said that, there are individuals within those groups who are happy to work with one another, but on the whole, the leaders of those two groups do not agree with the other's tactics. The Second leaders see the Third as being too brash and aggressive, whilst the Third leaders see the second as cowards who would rather talk than act.

Thankyou,
I had a feeling that's how it worked. There are no problems either with that because sometimes seeing in your own way and not like others is the right way. In a mixed up way. LOL!.

Finished another one! Whoo! And here's the review. My feelings on this episode are mixed. Some parts are stronger than the previous episodes, but some are weaker. Let me start at the beginning. The beginning of this episode is, frankly, badly paced. Too many scenes that are too short. And Piper and Prue's scenes felt like they were just cut off, with no lead in to the next scene. Obviously there doesn't always have to be, and there shouldn't always be a lead in to the next scene at the end of another. My point here is that the scene changing seemed jarring, like they were cut in the middle of the scene and did not feel finished. I couldn't get immersed in any scene until a little into Act 1, because most were barely a page long. Maybe that was your intent, to create an unsettling feeling. The whole episode is about fear (in several forms) and uncertainty, so maybe your intent was to create a feeling of uncertainty for the reader. But I don't think so. Maybe you just wanted to show all the different types of fears plaguing the sisters in the teaser so we knew what each off them were dealing with. But it doesn't come off well, and it actually put me off from reading. Luckily, I continued. Usually my remarks in this area would be pointless, but I know that you go back several times and do edits. And I know you are always open to advice. Getting on, my advice is to slash the teaser down to just Phoebe's scene with Candice. Bam. Right there we are drawn in. From there, at the beginning of Act 1, I would start with Piper's scene at the club that you had at the beginning of the teaser. At the end of that scene, have her get a call from Phoebe urging Piper to meet her at home where they can call Leo. Have that lead into the scene back at the manor where Phoebe has told Piper and Leo of her premonition. After that have Prue's scene outside of Buckland's that was in the teaser and right from there have the scene with her and Ryan inside, making them essentially one scene. This, in my mind, would help the pacing and just make things flow better. Everyone wants Candice. Hmm. So we learn that these Line Speakers and their order are called The Third. I wonder why they are called that. Could be the obvious thing of there being three Speakers, but I wonder if there is more to it than that. It's interesting that Madame E is afraid of them. So far she has shown nothing in the way of vulnerability. She was quick to hide her fear from the Suit, but I think he knows. I wonder why they are enemies. Is it just a good against evil thing, or is there more of a history between them? I assume the latter. Jumping forward, I was surprised to learn that The Third is a much bigger operation than I had previously thought. For some reasons I just thought them to be the three Speakers, the Man, and a few other unseen servants. But no, they have an Academy, where they take in witches. Well, not witches. From what I can tell, they take in Elementals. Candice is a "flame dancer" I believe is the term you used. From the clothes of the other two women we met at the Academy, Aleisha is an element of the earth, probably with the ability to control plant life (sudden flash of Poison Ivy from Batman. ;D) and also a higher ranking person there, while Jessica is a water elemental. I wonder if the Academy consists of only females. Unless not, for maybe the Man went there himself. From his powers shown in this episode, maybe he is a lightning elemental. The mention of this Cassandra is particularly interesting. Obviously there is some sort of past (a possible intimate relationship?) between her and the Man. It also seems that she, like Candice, has fire powers. But they mention she is the only one they have had in awhile. Some sort of accident? Hmm. This was possibly the most interesting part of the episode, finding out more about the Man and his world. Along with, as I move on, his interest in Phoebe. The Speakers called her his "trustee." And yet he first revealed himself to Prue. So why is Phoebe called this? Is she meant to be the Man's, and the Third's, "in" with the Charmed Ones? Phoebe, by nature, is a compassionate and trusting person. Do they call her his "trustee" because of that nature of hers? That she is the one most likely to trust him? Trust has always been a strength and a weakness for Phoebe. In the show we saw this with Cole and Billie (and Christy), and all of them ended up betraying her. I hope this doesn't happen here. Well, I wouldn't hate it. It would be interesting to see. But still, I want my Pheebs happy. Anyway, there seems to be a spark between the two of them. A possible love relationship. Part of me wonders if it is natural, or if it's part of the Man's job. A way to help gain her trust. Speaking of trust, I'm not completely sure I buy the fact that Phoebe would keep this meeting with him and secret from her sisters. Then again, maybe I do. When it comes to a guy she likes, Phoebe can be a little too trusting. Again, with Cole, we saw that she was willing to lie to her sisters to protect Cole. Of course, it is no where near the same situation here. She does not know why, but she feels she can trust him. Hey, I just had a little revelation. I thought that Phoebe's "fear" issues in this episode dealt with her fears of protecting Candice. Those are still there, but maybe more so are her fears/suspicion of the Man. She overcame that as he made her feel like she had "nothing to fear." Look at that! The title! ;D I'm thinking it has something to do with his eyes, why she trusts him. It's not said, but I feel that he has really expressive eyes and she could see his compassion and truth in them. His character is all about hiding things, along with his teleportation (shadows) and his attire, his cowl frequently hiding his eyes. But in close proximity with Phoebe, she is able to see his eyes and read his sincerity within them. That may be looking way too into things, but I don't care. It's fun. Time to talk about Candice. I don't like her. I'm sorry, but I don't. Not because she exhibited qualities which I despised, but more because I could not get a reading on her character. It was like she was bipolar. The way she acted changed so frequently that it was hard for me to tell who she was. The part where this really leaped into overdrive was when she woke up and was all angry and "I'M GONNA BURN THIS PLACE DOWN IF YOU DON'T TELL ME WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON!" It was weird and overdone. Then when we returned to her and Phoebe, Candice was all meek and passive again. Like the previous scene hadn't happened. Her overcoming of her fears also seemed rushed. Big huge ice demon? No problem. Following this... her acceptance of her powers and going with the Man was also rushed. I think a big problem with this was we had no idea who she was. What her motivations were. If she had been introduced previously to this episode, or if more time had been spent on crafting her character... it would work better. If we had learned that life for her in this world wasn't that great. If she was floundering in college with no real sense of direction, if she came from a broken or non-existent family, if she didn't fit in and didn't have many "real" friends (like where her "friends" ran away from her. If one of my friends had the fire thing happen to them, I wouldn't run, I would stay with them to figure out what happened). If we learned these weren't real friends, but just acquaintances she hung out with to try and fit in, that would make more sense. If we had all of these things, then I would be able to get who she was and understand her motivation with readily accepting the Man's offer of a new life. As it is, she is a 2D character that we know barely anything about and so all of her actions seem... weird. If she had grown up in a home where she dealt with scary things and had to be tough, her standing up to the demon when her friend was in trouble would make much more sense. But again, we have nothing. If we don't know who a character is, we can't understand their actions. Let's talk about Prue now. When the subject first came up of her casting a spell to get rid of her fear, I was all, "Whoa, hold up! Would Prue really do this?" She is not one to cast spells for personal gain. That's Phoebe's gig. But the more I thought about it, the more it made sense. This fear of Prue's to enter Buckland's is debilitating and makes her vulnerable. Prue is used to being strong and in control and she has lost that. The fear of that, being vulnerable, is stronger than any fear she has of casting personal gain spells. So I can certainly see her casting a spell like that in this instance. The spell itself is interesting. Instead of removing her fears, it removed her inhibitions. Which, in a way, are their own type of fear. It also makes me think... what makes us who we are? At least in the sense of inhibitions. Prue, without her inhibitions, did and said all the things she WANTS to do and say, but doesn't because of her inhibitions. So. Are we really those people on the inside, the inhibitions just creating a mask? Or is it our inhibitions that really make us who we are? Are they the things that make up our personalities (at least partly) while what is inside is just the basic, primal instincts that reside within all people? Hmm. Sorry, I love to get into deep thinking like that. But I'm sure you do, too, as it's what you go to school for. Back to the plot... Even though the scenes with Prue were fun, I'm unsure if this plot was a success. What did it do to push her character forward? Unless there is more addressed in further episodes, this plot for her might have been a failure. Well, not a failure. Just pointless, used as fickle fun. Most of the time was spent on her naughty behavior and not on why she cast the spell. We just saw her walk into Buckland's and that was that. Has this spell helped her to overcome her fear? Or now that the spell is over, is she back to square one? Maybe that was the point of this plot. Not just to have fun, but to show a failed attempt. Maybe the first of several to try to get back to where she was before she was shot at. If that was it, then I'm happy. But if she is back at Buckland's and happy as a clam in the next couple episodes, then I'll be a little disappointed. One quick note. The way Prue gave her "advice" to Piper was rude, but she wasn't wrong. Banners and streamers? It's not the high school dance, Piper. So Prue still helped. Another note. I like the name of the club. At first I just assumed it was named that because of Piper's witchy ways, but I like her explanation of its name a lot. The place's mystery, both known and unknown. Cool. Leo. He's evil, I know it! Don't tell me if I'm right. I like not knowing and looking at things that could possibly point to his evilness. He leaves to go talk to the Founders and then the Suit knows about Candice? The Man did say it was odd that they knew about Candice. How else would they have found out about her? Phoebe knew from her premonition, the Third knew because she was meant to become one of their order. But the Founders had no idea beforehand, so how could the baddies? I'm thinking Leo orbed off and told the Suit about her. I'm sure he talked to the Founders as well to protect his secret and keep up appearances, but still. He also disappeared from Piper's club right after he sees that Prue is all out of whack. Sure, he could have been called by the Founders, but I don't think so. EVIL! The Suit then conveniently learns that Prue has been affected by their actions. Still, it could be Ryan. He took her home alone. Could have made a stop off to tell the Suit. But I still think he is a decoy for us. Leo. Evil. ;D This is fun. Couple random notes. Cool demon. Bothered me slightly that Phoebe was all, "What was that?!" A demon. Duh. But she hasn't seen one like that before, so okay. Later the demon hits her with an "ice projectile." I would assume it's sharp and it hit her in the stomach. But... she's fine. I'd like for her to be skewered, or for you to use a word other than "projectile." Or clarify it's not an ice spear, as the demon threw in an earlier scene. Also, the Man teleports Phoebe to the storage room and she asks how she looks. For this party, she would want to be dressed up. Did he take her home first? I doubt it, but if not... her day clothes would seem odd. Whatever. Minor niggle. Oh! The hidden room! The book shelf glowed. What's up with that? Hmm... Okay, I'm done. Too long a review? No such thing! ;D It was a good episode, but struggled with pacing in the beginning and weak characterization with Candice. Otherwise, it was a strong episode that dealt with several aspects of fear, which were dealt with well. You didn't force everyone's fear onto us. Most was quite subtle. Usually when an episode is themed like this, it feels weird for all the main characters to randomly be having issues with fear, or whatever the theme is, at the same time. But, as said, this was used subtly for most characters and was realistic. Well done.
