The CW is a small network, and SPN has quite a loyal fan following from what I've seen around the internet and in school. If they keep up their quality, I don't think this shift is going to be much of an issue. Besides, "Nikita" and "Hellcats" will be cancelled midseason, or abruptly pulled off air like what was done with "The Beautiful Life" (a much deserved fate, might I add), and with Vampire Diaries preceding it, SPN can move back to Thursdays.
So I don't think you guys need to necessarily worry about this. Unless, of course, S6 of SPN is equivalent to S8 of Charmed. Then you're screwed, whether the show stays on or not.
