GW Cancelled...or is it?

I know i haven't been active in months, but I thought I would share this news between sobs. Yes, it is true. On May 18th, CBS cancled Ghost Whisperer.

I'm devastated. Season 5 wasn't the best, but I am absolutely crushed. I didn't expect the show to be canceled, but sadly, all amazing things come to an end.

Well large time-leaps between seasons usually mean the end for most shows. There's only so much you can do. You guys are lucky that ABC is trying to fish it out of the pool of cancelled shows, but remember, this is the network that simply loves cancelling shows. Once you drop to 6.somthing million viewers, you might as well be writing a eulogy or a "thank you" speech for your show.

They did it with Eastwick and so many more. But if they follow suit, you'll get at least 13 episodes.

Also hasn't this show jumped the shark?

While I hope ABC saves it, I'm pretty sure GW will be more dead there. Scrubs was more dead on ABC than it was in NBC. Still, I was shocked it was canceled in the first place.

Brandon's right. ABC does like to cancel shows. It has canceled all of it's new drama series this season except "V", which isn't a ratings success. At all. It only renewed it because it didn't want to cancel all of it's new drama series.

Reports say that there's a good chance it might get renewed by ABC, but I wouldn't be surprised if it got worse ratings.

Ghost Whisperer has risen from the dead...in a matter of speaking

Various news sites are confirming that ABC has acquired the rights to the long running CBS show “Ghost Whisperer” starring the lovely Jennifer Love Hewitt. ABC execs are trying to figure out what they will do with the show, but fans of the show can rest assure for now that the show will be at home on ABC. What do you think of this news? Are you happy that the show will be on ABC?

This is yet to be confirmed but things are looking good for GW. It seems they will be taking a good look at the road they want to take for the new season & I think, from what I've heard, that might be a good idea.

I'm thrilled. I just started watching season 5 and it's not the best, but still very enjoyable. Every show has its bad season anyway, so I'm sure that if they get a next season, they'll do better.

To be honest, I really wasn't expecting the pickup. I prayed for it, but this season wasn't amazing, and I guess it showed. The show had an incredible 5 years and I will miss it terribly. I pray for everyone on the show, and hope everyone the best. I will be buying the complete series when it comes out.

Ghost Whisperer deserved at least another season to warp things up...season 5 was a transition period for us fans, a 5 year jump and a child are big changes, so they needed to get steady and by the end of the season, things looked great, but i guess it was too late.

Flashbacks of the past 5 years every now and then during the season might have been a great idea.

Seeing the season 5 DVD art made it all even more real because it was titled, "The Final Season"
