I don't know who you think you are but before the night is through, I wanna do bad things with you.The hit HBO series tells the story of Sookie Stackhouse (played by Anna Paquin) a telepathic waitress at a bar in the fictional town of Bon Temps who has a vampire fetish. Well not entirely. But she does fall in love with one, Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer) and later on, has sex dreams about another (Eric Northman, potrayed by Alaxander Skarsgard). And while those are merely the superficial contours of this amazing show. Racism, sexism, substance abuse, and redemption are just some of the themes True Blood seamlessly explores while layering the series' characters which initially seem like silly Hill-Billies with that Southern twang. True Blood airs in the summer seasons of HBO. Two seasons have already aired, and the third begins on June 13, 2010. A fourth season has also been ordered. Seasons are usually 12-13 episodes. Now that that's done, I'd like to discuss the past seasons. I warn you against reading things in the spoiler tags if you haven't watched the show and intend to as it will ruin the entire thrill of watching the show.Season One really had a shitload of mystery, and I loved it. The plot was really tight and by the third episode, I felt like I had known most of the main characters for ages! I initially thought the murderer was Ryan, then Sam but it turned out to be Rene, Arlene's boyfriend in the end. And that's what I loved about it, it was so unexpected. It makes you think that the story works on a more global/universal level in regard to characters instead of just the confines of the primary/secondary characters.
And the V, and its use was something I really enjoyed. I honestly was hoping that the stuff really exists so that I could get high on it. Lol. And Jason's girlfriend. It's a pity she died. I liked her.
Tara's and Sam's characters are well enjoyed. I sympathise with the former's backstory with her alcoholic mother (who btw, I'd whack the crud out of had she been real) and Sam... well Sam's a different story I shall not share atm.
Bill was really interesting in this season. The fact that he had to abandon his family after becoming a vamp was heartbreaking, as was him turning Jessica too. I felt so bad for her in the beginning, but when she turned into a bitch upon waking, I instantly fell in love with her. I also liked the whole Sookie-Bill-Jessica dynamic. Was that in this season or the next? I forget.
Speaking of Bill turning Jessica, the consequences of their were well-received, as was "Glamoring". Hypnotism is such an awesome power. And the way in which they "die" after being staked is quite novel and bloody. I loved it.
Hmm, and what else? Lafayette scares me, but that's just a personal thing. His character isn't unwelcomed though. And Jason is a dumbass. Period.
Season Two wasn't as tight as the first season, but they still managed to stage a good show, great even, compared to the other crap they air these days on TV. The whole concept of Maryann Forester/Maenads intrigued me and had me instantly hitched. Did I mention in the earlier season's "review" that the show's take on different supe mythology makes it all the more worth the watch? No? Well it does. I'm talking about the scene where Daphne tells Sam what Maryann really is and how she's connected to Dionysus, aka "the Horned God" (which in BT-mentality translates to "Satan"; nice parallel there). And then there are those scenes she hunts rabbits/animals and brings them home after a night of raving that brings us back to the real-world myths about maenads.
Surprisingly the orgy scenes didn't bother me... much. But the heart that she fed Eggs and Tara was disgusting.
Sookie meets another telepath. And yay, someone she can finally silently communicate with both ways. That sure did come in handy when she was kidnapped and almost raped.
Lorena. I didn't like her much. And I have nothing more to say.
The Reverend. Three words: What. A. C*nt. Remember how I said I'd like beating Tara's mom up? Yeah, this guy trumps that. I hate him. I really do, and I was so glad when he was beaten. His wife's a whore too, but I thought she'd be better than him after she was with Jason. Loved that quote of his though:
"I've already been to Heaven. I was inside your wife." HAHA.
Then the whole Eric/Godric thing. I really, really loved Godric's character. So deep and meaningful, and that scene where he gives up himself to the rising sun was simply marvellous, where he finds "God" in Sookie Stackhouse. Effects were cool too.
Eric's bloodties with Sookie and Lafayette thicken the plot. His character's real dark fun, from when he finds a reason to get his "haircut" from Pam to the part where he makes Sookie drink his blood. Sure, he has a softer side as seen before Godric is about to die, but eh. AND he can fly! Supervamp FTW!
The finale was well devised, and the Queen seems like a dangerously fun character to look into.
Jessica, I love. I really do. Everything about her. Even the episode where she made Sookie take her back home, and the family dynamic between her, Bill and Sookie. I also enjoyed her relationship with Hoyt, but seems like she's heading down a whorish path now. Will be interesting to see what happens. She's a big girl.
And Sam! How could I forget about Sam. He played a pivotal part this season, and in the finale. I think it's nice that he still has a thing for Sookie, even though his love is now turning platonic. Daphne's betrayal came as a shock to me initially, I thought he'd have finally found someone. What Maryann did to him was quite twisted, but she's Lucifer's bitch, so can't really blame her. I wonder what his real family will be like.
And I already know who captured Bill (thanks to Wikipedia), provided they're staying true to the books. Which I am iffy about, as Lafayette is the body they find in the Merlotte's parking area around the end of the first book/beginning of the second book, not the old doctor-lady.
And the opening. When you look into the symbolism and all, it's quite nice, and the tune's quite catchy. But after three to four episodes, I fast-forward it. All in all a good show. Not for the weak-hearted, narrow-minded, elderly, children, pregnant women, and fetuses. And has anyone watched the new minisodes? I shall discuss them at a later time. This is one long first post.

It takes a few episodes to really get into it, but I now find myself addicted. This show is brilliant, makes me want to go and read the books.. Which I probably won’t do. It’s a shame that she died, I really liked her and I think she made Jason more interesting. Lmao, I just watched the season 3 promo and found this: “Does Bigfoot exist?” “I don‘t know. Could do.” “Santa?” “Jason focus!” hilarious. Jessica is amazing. Her bitchy Bill-dependant attitude is so cool, and how Eric took her in at first and then sent her back made me lol. (“There are favours and then there are favours ) Now that Bill has been kidnapped she’ll have to face the world all by herself, without anyone to protect her. Oh and how she began to learn to glamour was great, they didn’t just say “We glamour. Period.” they explained how it worked, how to activate it and how hard it was. Oh and when Jessica started teasing Bill with her power was bloody hilarious! That didn’t bother me at all. It was actually really interesting and showed us how disturbed Maryann was. I loved her character from the start, she was so devious and fake and it was interesting to see her true self continuously slip through the cracks. Jason pretending to be The Horned God was so funny too, as were all the hillbillies under Maryann’s control. Aren’t vampires supposed to have their guts splattered across the place when they die? Maybe it’s because he’s ancient? Or is it just because he didn’t try fighting it? Iunno. The effects were cool though, the blue fire looked great. I don’t get why he established a connection with Lafayette, but yeah he is real dark fun. I loved how his character was introduced in the series and how, as the second series progressed, his character began to show different sides of himself. And Pam! I love her. She is such an arrogant vampire and I don’t even hate that I love her. She is devious, sneaky and overall quite bad-ass. I also loved her comments about those pumps that she ruined. The queen is also a really interesting character. I love her views on humans and she seems really sophisticated. I hope more of her character will be explored, and I’m a bit curious about Sookie’s cousin who lives at her palace. No. They won’t stay true to the books. Everyone who has read the books will be expecting something and then it’ll take a completely different turn. I just know it! Anyone else really exited for season 3? Only 3 weeks left!

Could do.” “Santa?” “Jason focus!” hilarious. Jason really cracks me up. Like the final minisode we discussed. Are you saying you didn't have the slightest urge to puke when they ate a human/shapeshifer "heart"? Hmm, I forget if we've ever seen a vamp go through death by sunlight other than Bill's near death experience in the S1 finale. I know that character went through some serious skin damage, but as Godric stated, he was older, so he'd burn out faster. Lafayette was in some bad sh*t draining from Vamps he had sexual encounters with. With the connection established, Eric can control him, and make sure that the V he sells is the one they give to him to distribute. That brings about a potential plot point. If one has V, and if the vampire the V is from is alive, will a connection be established? Perhaps if enough of the same V is ingested? And we know it's addictive, so if the Queen is selling out her blood, and if Lafayette deals to the same users, she'd establish a solid connection with them... and she could use it to take over the humans in her queendom. Oh yup. And I can't wait for S3 either! The minisodes were sh*t funny. And pardon my excessive use of the word "sh*t" in this thread for those that are offended. But in truth, if you watch the show, "sh*t" should be the least of your worries.

I've just got done watching the Jason minisode, and I think it was probably my favourite so far because it actually felt like it worked as part of the overall story, the others, while I could see how they fitted in (with perhaps the Jessica one) they didn't seem very important whereas this seemed like it could be a part of an episode and Jason's Season 3 storyline. And I wonder if they are going to do go down the route of turning Jason into a were-panther route. I wasn't sure if they were going to do that on the show, but perhaps they are going to add their own twist to it? Just over a week left now ;D

David: Crystal IS making an appearence this season, and many people are suspecting it's her behind those bushes. I hope they don't go down that path though, the show needs some normal folk. There was a teaser, one of those "waiting sucks" promos. It shows them shooting a scene prior to her transformation.
PS: Never read the books, so I'm not sure how he was turned.

PS: Never read the books, so I'm not sure how he was turned. If they do go down that path I think they'll go a different route than the books did, just because in the fourth book Jason went missing and it turned out he had been kidnapped by a ware-panther, I can't remember his name but he bit Jason turning into a shifter because he was jealous of Jason and Crystal. I don't think it'll work like that in the show if they do decide to do it. It was too...simple. There wasn't enough conflict or reaction. Jason got over it quite easily. So I'm in two minds about how/if it will be done.

Well, after watching the "What to Watch" special on HBO (with True Blood being one of the shows to watch), I have to say, the show is really getting me into it. I really am anxiously anticipating the show, but it seems a bit gruesome But that's expected since it's HBO and not CW. I don't know, the end of the season 3 promo where all of those girls are screaming just really freaked me out (I have a phobia with women getting fondled). So is that kind of stuff regular on the show? But I did see an episode last week where Lafayette was pretty much shaken up after his mom? was pointing a shotgun at him. But it wasn't really his mom. And Tara was handcuffed to a table. But the season 2 recap is coming on later today, so I hope that sorta gives me a little recap. And no, I didn't read the spoilers.

Uhm, yeah, I believe I mentioned earlier that this show is meant for mature audiences? No? My bad then. There's a lot of gore, graphic sex, swearing, graphic sex. So if it's not your cup of tea, I suggest you refrain from watching it, because if you intend to fast-forward some of these scenes, you'll miss out on some plot points and important details to the season's mystery or whatever you'd like to call it. And yes, that was Tara's mother (Lafayette and Tara are cousins). I hate that woman, really do. I feel like repeatedly hitting her in the head with a pan in some hillbilly slapstick-comedy manner. She's a crackwhore. Period. I was going to link you guys to the new trailers SpoilerTV posted, but they seem to be down for the moment. It has a scene where Eric "forces" Sookie to invite him in, because he senses a werewolf's presence. Now don't spoil the purpose of the werewolves in the story for me, but do they work the same as vampires when thresholds are concerned?

I don't think so, I think it's only vampires which have to be invited into someone's home. Although in the books the werewolves don't spend a lot of time in Bon Temps so I think they are going down a much different route.

Ah, thanks for clearing that up. I still can't find the darn clip, but for those who are interested, here's a 6-part interview (aka "The True Blood Ultimate Fan Experience") that has a 2 minute trailer in it, as well as some fun talk between the cast and showrunner Alan Ball: Click. You'll need to follow the parts by yourself though. They're all ont he same channel.

Yeah I watched a bit of that on the HBO site this morning, it's up in one long part there. It was fairly interesting, I didn't get to the end though because I didn't want to be overly spoiled. I decided that the premier is only a week away I can wait And I just saw your comment about Mrs. Thornton Now, I know this is going to be a hugely unpopular comment, but I actually sympathise with her a bit. I mean I still hate her for what she's done to poor Tara over they years and made her life hell, but it was heartbreaking watching the two of them and it's obvious that they love each other a lot. And I know she didn't really deal with her alcoholism in the bravest of ways, instead blaming it on faith, but since her "exorcism" we've seen a different side to her but I think it'll only be temporary I can see her going back to drinking again because I don't think that even faith as strong as hers can overcome an addiction that strong.

I, too, find their love endearing, but I really can't stand her. I was actually surprised that she didn't go back to drinking after Tara told her that the witch doctor was a lie. And now that I think about it, she was pointing the gun at Lafayette because she loved her.
Speaking about that episode (or the one following that), what exactly is Sookie's pink jolt of a power? Was it seen in the books? I mean, I know what she is (I spoil myself sometimes), but is she anything more than a telepath (power-wise) in the books?
Anyway, what do you guys want to see in this coming season?

I know they have been taking bits and pieces from later books but I haven't got to the book where Sookie's ability is revealed if indeed it is featured in the books. She does have a fairy godmother in the books though, maybe its tied into that in some way? Although I can't really see Alan Ball writing a fairy godmother into the show.

Actually, in the pilot episode, when Sookie is fighting off the Ratrays, and she throws the chain at the guy, it seems to telekinetically wrap around his neck and strangle him. In the original pilot, we were supposed to see Sookie's fairy godmother protecting her in that instant, but at the last moment, they took out the clips.
Also, Maryann talked about it before they destroyed her. She said something along the lines of "Have you ever felt something watching over you? Protecting you?" To which Sookie just replied "Yeah, God." and it flashed back to the aforementioned clip.
Yeah, I love this show, I just didn't know there was a discussion about it on here, otherwise I would have participated. Ha.

In the first episode I always thought it was Bill that saved her both times, with his superspeed. That's really interesting to know, Dom. At least they won't be pulling her out of their ass if they introduce her like the other shows coughCharmedcough. And David But Alan Ball said that Sookie will be meeting her fairy godmother around the end of this season And here's the link to the invitation clip I was talking about, with Alan Ball teasing TB: www.spoilertv.com/2010/06/true-blood-new-sneak-peek-and-promo.html

Not at all. I, too, sympathise with her. She is still a mother, and she obviously cares for Tara, but all the alcohol clouds that and makes her do the opposite. And it was obviously a psychological thing, after she thought the 'evil' inside her was gone, she cleaned herself up. Did we ever find out why she started drinking in the first place? Or did she always blame The Demon?
Like everything on this show, I doubt the Fairy Godmother would be cheesy in any way. And I wonder what connection there'll be between them and how this will affect Sookie if she knows that she's being protected. Does anyone know how the FGs work? Because Sookie's obviously doesn't protect her all the time (seeing as how Sookie gets hurt on a regular basis).
I never even thought anything of that. Thanks for pointing it out, it's really interesting.

Kristin (E! Online): Wendell: What's the word on True Blood? Are Sookie and Bill really over? They're so not in a happy place. But one of them will be in a sexy place. Here's what I can tell you about the first three episodes: Either Bill or Sookie has sex with someone, and it is hands-down the most unforgettable (you will have dreams/nightmares afterward!) sex scene in the entire run of True Blood so far. Here's what else you can expect from the first three episodes:
1. Someone tries to commit suicide. 2. Someone tries to kill a sibling. 3. Someone loses his head. 4. Someone is pregnant. 5. Someone has a one night stand--and it's the last person you'd expect. 6. Someone has an underground sex marathon--and it's the first person you'd expect. 7. There are more bare backsides than a gym locker room, and one belongs to one Mr. Alexander Skaarsgård. This just in from Alan Ball: You're welcome.
The first four have got me excited. Let's put a name to each spoiler as the episodes progress eh? I have a fair idea who number 2 is. And holy crap, sex and nudity on True Blood?! As long as number 6 is Jessica, I don't mind! ;D

After watching the first episode of the season, I already know who the first one is in those spoilers Brandon. They seriously took no time at all into dropping right into the clips we've already seen. Guess that's what I get for spoiling myself silly. I think I know who the sex scene (The unforgettable one) is gonna be between, and I don't think it's who everyone expects it to be. Let's just say, that when you've watched the episode... Sam has a dream about a certain someone that made me feel a little awkward, and made the girls in the room squeal with delight. I know I didn't reveal much in those spoiler tags, but once you've seen the episode, you'll understand. I don't know how I feel about already finding out about the kidnappers. We see them very early in the episode, and, if I'm not mistaken, we never see how Bill escapes the silver around his neck. I figured the mystery of who took him and why would last around 3-4 episodes, though I'm glad Bill was still in the episode a good amount.
Tara kinda pissed me off this episode, but she kinda didn't. I understand she's mad at Sookie, but...I don't know. Something about the fact that she blew up like that, and didn't even care Sookie was in the same situation, made me a little mad. The fact she tried to off herself at the end of the episode makes me hate the fact that Tara's one of my favorite characters. It seems so weak and cowardly to kill yourself, to me at least, and especially for the reason in which she did it.
Sookie didn't really do much this episode. She ran around looking for Bill, had to deal with dumb, ignorant Police, and found out some Weres took Bill. Oh yeah, she did get a heap of money from Eric for going with them to Dallas, so that's good. She can fix up the house Maryann basically destroyed.
Eric and the queen... I don't know. To me they can do no wrong. I just love every scene their in together, and the scene were they lied together in front of the Magister (SP?) made me laugh a little. Especially the queen. What occurred to me as I was watching the episode, the Magister asked if any vampires had gone missing. If Eric told him about Bill, wouldn't it have kept him off their trail of pushing V through Lafayette?
Arlene and Tara's fight was a little much. Like I said earlier, Tara seemed to blow up WAY too easily in this part. Calling Arlene White Trash was too far. The whole fight didn't need to happen. Other than that, Arlene didn't really do anything. Oh yeah, she could smell the cinnamon in the chili. Is she pregnant? Or is something wrong with our dear Arlene?
Bill attacking the old woman seemed wrong to me at first, but then I realized the Weres at the beginning of the episode were steadily draining him. He didn't kill the old woman, and he payed her, AND he glamoured her. Very classy Bill, very classy.
Sam. Now he was kind of being stalker-like when he was looking at his family, but then again, Tommy lied to him when he said that wasn't his last name, so he had to meet his real family. Maybe they're shifters too. Now onto his dream. I'm not going to lie, I'm bi, so this didn't bother me too much. At first, I completely thought this was real, and thought it was because of the amount of blood Sam drank from Bill in the finale last year, but it was just a dream, from all the blood he ingested from Bill last year. Haha. And no just cause i'm bi, that doesn't mean I was instantly turned on by the dream. It didn't bother me like it would some people I know, but I wasn't squealing for joy like the girls in the room.
Tara's mother pissed me off too. She promised she wouldn't be all Jesus-preachy to Tara, and what did she do? Just that. Then she was all over that priest? Ooh no. She's a ho. Ha.
I'll give the episode a B It wasn't completely exciting, but it wasn't bad either. It was a good season premiere, and the rest of the season looks like it's going to be good. Can't wait!
EDIT: I did forget to mention this, I loved the scene(s) when Bill called for Jessica, and it showed her waking up in her sleeping space thing. Something about both of their acting there made that so cool to me. That's all. Lol.
I did like the new bloody part before the episode started where it says 'This feature is rated M for mature audiences' or whatever. And the 'HD' when it says 'This is available in HD where possible' grows fangs. It was funny and awesome. Ha. Oh, also, I read somewhere that Sookie is supposed to use her power a lot more this season because she's so aware of the fact that she has abilities other then being a telepath.

There's a good few spoilers for season three in this post, but I figured that since it's already sired and most of the discussion from now on will be about season three that it would be okay to avoid spoiler tags for the first episode. I watched it first thing this morning after I woke up, so I've had a couple of hours for it to sink in and overall I thought it was a really good start to the season. Obviously they had a lot to set up, Sam's search for his parents, the Eric/Queen stuff, Tara's grief ect. I think this is going to be a very good season, by the looks of things. I think the multiple storylines they have set up will hopefully make the pacing of this season better than last because last season we really only had the Maryann storyline where almost everyone in Bon Temps was involved in and the Gordric storyline which was the vampire side of things. From the looks of this season there will be a lot more going on so more characters will have stuff to do. I assumed that when Bill told those men that he was going to die if they didn't stop draining him they took off the silver thinking that because they'd drained him a good amount he wouldn't be able to fight back. I don't know, it does seem a bit odd how that all happened though. I get what you mean about being pissed with Tara and also feeling bad for her and understanding why she was acting like that. Tara's life has probably been the most difficult and abusive than anyone else on the show. Her mother was awful to her growing up and into adulthood, she's never really had a relationship like what she had with Eggs and they were both manipulated by Maryann so I can understand that this is probably a huge breaking point for her where she thinks that enough is enough. I can see where she's coming from, but like you said, I didn't like how she was treating people, but she's grieving and grief makes people act in ways they shouldn't. I would have liked to have seen Sookie do more, but I doubt there's much else she could have done until Alcide turns up (I'm assuming that will be either next episode or the one after?) I did like her teaming up with Jessica though. I loved the scenes with Eric and the Queen, whatever Eric up to is usually some of the best stuff, and although I wasn't overly keen on the Queen last season, when she's with Eric she's a much better character and we saw a different side to her this episode, she was a lot more vampire Queen like. And about the V/Bill, I assume that Eric didn't mention Bill because Bill knows about Eric selling the V, and if they found Bill what if her told them about Eric? Since we know Eric also wanted Bill, I think Eric is trying to save his own skin because he already knows someone else has him. Sam's story was the one I disliked the most. I don't think it's going to be that exciting, so I hope they don't go and stretch it out over the whole season. They are obviously going to be trouble, and probably shifters as well. I can't remember from the books how shifters are made, I know with Weres it's the first born from two pure Weres, but I can't remember if shifters are the same or if Sam's birth parents are shifters, but if Sam is then I am guessing that at least one of his parents will be, or maybe even Tommy. The dream was fun, I knew it was going to happen but I didn't expect it to be this soon. I doubt anything major will come of it, but for now I think it was just supposed to be a bit of fun, but who knows, maybe Sam will start to develop some kind of attraction to Bill? She's a complete extremist when it comes to God, everything is God's plan or Jesus' plan so I wasn't surprised when that happened, and I don't think Tara was either. I don't think it was the right thing to do, but I don't think Tara was really surprised that her Mum played the religion card. Maybe that's what pushed Tara into trying to kill herself, maybe she though she didn't want to live in a world where Jesus' plan was so horrible? I don't know, but it definitely didn't help matters. Concerning Jason, I like how he's actually got something to do now. In the first season it was based around him trying to get V, and last season he was at the Fellowship of the Sun, now there's a storyline which I think he's going to change a lot and I wonder how long it will be until he breaks and confesses? It'll probably make things a whole lot worse for Tara, but I think it will happen eventually. And Jessica. I've missed her the most, her and Eric and the two characters who add a lot of fun to the show without being directly comedic, so I liked how she had plenty of screen time. I'm not sure where they are going with her murdering someone, hopefully she won't have the taste for blood now, but I liked seeing a different side to her, and I love that she's still like the worst vampire ever! So overall it was a good opener, the cliffhanger wasn't as OMG! as True Blood usually is, but I think by next episode everything will be in full swing again. Welcome back True Blood ;D

I agree, the cliffhanger was a bummer as it was one of those scenes they released as "sneak peeks". Anyway, onto the episode.
I liked how it started out where they left us at the end of last season. The French waitress (?) was hilarious, had me laughing in the first two minutes of the show. Jessica! I think it's safe to say I am, infact, infatuated with this woman. I loved the part where she goes "Hoyt", smiles, and drags the body in.
Onward, character by character.
Sookie... uhm. I expected her to read minds somewhere in the episode. She barely did anything, as you guys have mentioned, but I think she was still in character in this episode. Especially where she lectures the sheriff.
About Tara, I didn't find her that horrible at all. Although her behavior wasn't quite justified, Rutina Wesley's performance was amazing, and I loved that exchange between her and Arlene. It reminded me of her exchange with that woman in the pilot, although this one wasn't as strong. I think you fail to see what they are trying to potray about racism: one who is prejudiced ends up prejudicing. And I love the way they handled that. Lots of humor.
Her mother... eh, you know how I feel about her. I loved the way Lafayette responded to her though hahaha. And speaking of Lafayette's retorts, that exchange between him and Pam was EPIC. "And also remember, I am not a hooker. That was a long, long time ago." I love Pam. Is she lesbian, or bi? I forget.
Jessica. I can't really stop emphasizing on the fact of how much I love this character. She initially seems so wayward, but she does have a heart. I was worried she'd "make" the man she killed, because I really don't want any new additions to the family already, but I enjoyed her efforts, and her coverups. Although now that I think about it, I feel it didn't work as she didn't really bury him. And when she does, she's going to have a little trouble.
And that shivering thing, that's a good addition to the mythos.
Eric and the Queen. I loved their dynamic, and ERW's potrayal of her is simply awesome. She really is the Paris Hilton of the vampire world, as I don't think she is as dumb as she tried to be in this episode. I feel she was setting Eric up from the beginning.
Bill, enjoyed his storyline too. Don't want to repeat what you guys said, but about the silver, the weres were wearing gloves when they were holding/kidnapping him, and when Bill broke free, her had the gloves on. So possibly when the cameras weren't on them, the gloves were taken from one of them, chain removed, and then cut to the scene we see. And the cuts were really good too.
As for Sam, his storyline in this episode has been boring. I was expecting Tommy to whack him with the spanner, or perhaps Melinda or a family member to sneak up on him, but nada. I did, however, like how he tried to verify whether Tommy was telling the truth or not. Very sneaky.
As for the Bill-Sam scene, I'm sorry, but I was laughing out loud throughout it. It was like a fifties' porn plot, their dialogue and the scenario, and I don't really see why anyone, gay, straight, transgender, or bisexual, should have been bothered by that as: - they didn't kiss, make out or f*ck. - you've seen them half naked, and even fully naked before.
It was merely comic relief, and a continuity check.
Oh, and Jason. I remember reading a spoiler saying that he'd have a mantra, and I think that mantra fell flat. Just like those girls he would have had a threesome with. Note to Alan Ball: bring on more Estonians.
