What's going on

Hi all,

I noticed some discussion about my current lack of presence here at the boards and I thought it best to write a quick post about what's going on.

Recently, my mother suffered a very serious fall from a ladder. She fell from a considerable height onto concrete pavers when the ladder she was standing on collapsed without warning.

On her way down, she ripped all the skin from her left arm and left leg, leaving both areas with deep wounds exposed to the bone. There was a lot of blood and it was certainly not pretty. She also hit her head and suffered from a nasty concussion.

I rushed her to the nearest medical facility, and they cleaned her wounds and bandaged them up. But because of the extent of her wounds, she needs to have them recleaned and bandaged daily. Her concussion and other bruises/scrapes also means I have to keep a close eye on her. So I have been spending all my time looking after her and driving her to the doctors.

I am sorry for my absense, and I am sorry for not posting this earlier. However, I will be on more as soon as my mum's condition improves.

I have been reading the reviews of BAM and I am so very grateful that there's still interest in the series, despite my lack of updates recently. Those reviews make my day, and although it's said a lot, they do truly mean the world to me. They have been, in some of the more trying times this last week (and earlier because of other issues), a shining light of positivity, if you will pardon the horrible pun.

I will be replying to those reviews as soon as possible - every single one will have the reply it deserves. I am sorry it has taken me so long to reply - there is no excuse for that.

I will also be posting updates to BAM. The current lull in activity will be superceeded by a flurry of new additions and updates over the coming weeks. I haven't lost the passion for writing these past few weeks - just the time.

It means a lot that I was missed here. It means a lot to see those reviews and know that BAM is enjoyed. It means a lot to be part of this board.

Oh my god, that's horrible! Tash, I'm so sorry about your mom. I really hope that she is better soon and that there are no permanent injuries from her fall. Not only must it be really hard for her, but the stress it must be causing you. It's so good of you to be taking care of her, though.

Obviously, don't worry about us. Take as much time as you need and focus on your mom and yourself. You mean a lot to us. We love you, Tash! Again, I hope everything gets better soon.

I know we're not that close, but that is terrible, I really hope your mom is okay. I also find it very honorable for you to be giving up all of your free time, especially regarding something you're so passionate about, to take care of her. I know that she's family, and that people say all the time that they would do what you're doing in a heartbeat, but more often than not, people don't follow through, so even though I had bucket-loads of respect for you before, I now have around several more tanks.

Although I can't say I've read BAM, I am well aware of how successful it is. But as always, real life comes first, so don't worry too much about us. It's always nice to get an explanation, though. Anyway, I hope your mom is feeling better, but please remember to take care of yourself, too. :/

I'm so sorry Tash. I hope your mum gets better soon, I can't imagine what you're going through. And seriously, concentrate on your family and not getting around to replying to the reviews, we can wait.

As Brandon said, sorries are definitely not needed, just take all the time you need because by the sounds of it you are doing a really good job in such a bad situation.

So don't rush to get back, put all of your energy into your life and looking after your mother. And although I'm not a follower of BAM, I'm sure you readers will understand.

Oh my god, Tash. I'm so sorry about what happened to your mom. I really hope she gets better soon. Like other have said, don't say you're sorry. Real life always come first. Don't worry about replying. Just focus on helping your mom.

Tash, I'm so sorry about what happened. Certainly, there is no reason to apologize. Family comes above all other things. I, for one, would like an update on her condition to see how she's doing. I really hope the both of you are okay.
