Angel or Buffy?

I think buffy is way better than angel, but you decide for yourself.

The two shows were good but for different reasons. I'll never be able to choose between them. Buffy started off the whole idea and the writers came up with the idea of Angel, a vampire with a soul, something that I'd never really seen before hand, I'm not sure about anybody else.

Buffy was all about a group of high school children who were growing up knowing much more about the world than they probably should have. They had seen evil in its pure form when meeting the Master in the first season. It was all about growing up, even when it hit Season 5 - when Joyce died, you were living what Buffy was living really, you kind of felt how she felt (at least I did). It was all about evolving.

Angel was all about someone who had lived for well longer than he should have but had only just found love. He was growing in a way, but at the same time he had grown up, he already knew about the world and it was all about whether he could live with others and how one person can affect many other lives.

The two were great on so many different levels and I just can't decide between the two because even though they were written by the same people and had some of the same characters, they were different in many ways.

Just looking at the season finales stops me from choosing. Buffy's saw an end to the war that she had been fighting and saw the end to the Hellmouth, which was what the beginning of the show was all about. Angel was all about the fact that the war goes on and will always go on. There was never a definite ending, it left it very open, but is much like real life. When one battle ends it doesn't mean the fighting will ever stop.

I liked Buffy way more. I don't know what it was about Angel. but I just couldnt' get into it really. Though it was to see Angel develop more, it was weird. Though he found new love interests int he show, he seemed to always drop them to run back to Buffy. It just didn't work for me. And really, Angel and Cordelia? What kind of couple is that?

I dont know, I guess in the end, Buffy was the superior show. Buffy was just a lot more interesting and her plots were much more interesting than Angel and Darla which took up most of the show.

buffy and angel will always both be awesome characters and awesome shows but buffy was and is the original and will never be replaced...
