It'll be interesting to see if any of the girls develop new powers, or if Phoebe finally gains back another or both powers back. It should be exciting to read the big act that she does in order to earn them back. I'm hoping that Piper develops another power out of the three. I'm hoping for some sort of supplementary ability that isn't too strong since her other two are very advanced. A strong power would be fine, in my opinion, as long as Evil's power is increased. As for kids, I'm wondering if this new evil is so strong that the topic of children will be put onto hold until something happens that things start to settle down and return to somewhat 'normal'. I'm very excited though to see how you handle Phoebe and Coop's relationship, as well as her prophecy daughter that she saw almost 3 years ago now, in her vision quest in S6. Good luck with all of this. As you can tell, I'm a speculator. Just wait till I have an episode of information and events to go off of.

Nerf,
Did you do this before on the Prophecy board or am I thinking of something else?

Yeah, I think he said somewhere that he wrote a few of these episodes at somewhere else and was switching between script and prose format. Now he's re-airing all of the episodes (maybe with changes) here, on ST.
Did you read this before, atlan? His 'old' S9?

Glad you have started to speculate, Harry, and are looking forward to things.
Yep, atlan, I started on the Prophecy, continued on Rebirth, and have no come here. However, as Harry said, I will be re-releasing the episodes. All episodes I released before are going through rewrites. Some will have minimal changes, some will have quite a few. For example, episode four will not only expand on the original sub-plot, but I will also be adding an entire new one. I know that I had you as a reader before, so I hope you continue to read here.

I'm actually really excited about this series - I can remember reading the first episode of your season on Fanfiction.net, so I'm curious to see if anything changed or not. However, I enjoyed the first episode of your series on Fanfiction.net, so I'm wondering what else could happen. I'm also curious about how you're going to go with Phoebe/Coop and Piper/Leo, and, of course, Henry/Paige. Alright, basically all of the couples, LOL. Since Forever Charmed isn't valid here, there's no telling what's going to happen... which means I am VERY excited. But, I can't wait for it to start.

Oh, I sincerely hope that no one gets extra powers--no one needs them--if anything, I wouldn't mind a couple of them losing a power (ie. Piper loses her explosion power and Paige loses her whitelighter powers and just becomes a witch with TK, so they go back to having the powers they had at the beginning of the series with the exception of Paige having Prue's power)--they have more than enough powers as is, especially if Phoebe gets her premonitions back *AND* if everyone goes back to using them for what they were meant to be used, not just for personal gain as happened in S8, with the exception of Paige who used hers the right way.
Having read the first episode, I truly hope that like that episode, that this series will be a lot more about three sisters who happen to be witches, as the show was originally intended to be, and rather than three witches who happen to have lived in the same manor, as Kern changed it.

Paige loses her whitelighter powers and just becomes a witch with TK, so they go back to having the powers they had at the beginning of the series with the exception of Paige having Prue's power. Yeah, I would NEVER do that. First of all, Paige is not Prue. Her blood is different, and I for one always thought it was a fantastic idea to have a mixed/hybrid power. I don't understand why anyone thought that her power should have somehow advanced to where it was just telekinesis. Her blood doesn't change, so her power shouldn't either. And I have always loved telekinetic orbing and how she has to call for things. It's one of my favorite powers. Secondly, I would also never have it go back to just the type of powers they had at the beginning, because... that's like taking steps backward. The show spent eight years evolving them and their gifts, and I will only continue to go forward and evolve them and their powers. Going backwards is not an option, nor should it be. Their powers will certainly be an important part of not only this season, but the rest as well. Phoebe will get her powers back (by the way, she already got back her premonition power), and her abilities will play a major role. However, I will not be using her empath ability to deflect powers, as if it was telekinesis. That was just dumb. I do also agree that her premonition power was used sparingly and foolishly during the last few seasons. That will certainly be changed. I do agree that they have a lot of powers and sometimes seem too powerful for anything to be a threat. I don't plan to make them gods, but I do plan for their powers to continue to evolve. I am glad you saw that, even in just the first episode. I am certainly trying to put the sister aspect back into it. Sometimes they did seem more like friends, than sisters. So yes, I am putting the focus back on the sisters, but there will certainly be a hell of a lot of magical action going on as well. About Kern... I think people are sometimes too hard on him. I agree that he had faults, but some of people's main gripes were actually not his fault. Promotable hunks that only last for six episodes, and seasons having more stand alone episodes and less of an arc (like S5) just to name a few, were forced upon him by the network. I'm not saying he didn't really mess up sometimes, but the man is human and I think overall he did a good job. I'm not going to get into a whole discussion about this, since this thread is not the place for that, but I will say one more thing. Of what I have seen, people's favorite seasons tend to be S3 and S4. Brad Kern made those seasons happen and also wrote "All Hell Breaks Loose", many people's favorite episode. Sometimes people tend to focus too much on what he did wrong and completely forget some of the amazing things he did right. That is all. Anyway, thanks for taking an interest Esmeralda and I am glad to have you as a reader. We may not agree on everything, but it's good to know you have a solid opinion which could lead to some good discussion/debates.

Yes, I do agree with how he's brought more of the sister-aspect into the series so far but I still believe their magic is still another key part that needs to be delved into deeper.
Even if Nerf decides to expand their powers even more - which I think he should - it easily balances out since I'm sure he has some pretty powerful antagonists to match up the Charmed Ones' old and new powers.

Definitely, Harry. I think that the show did a lot of basic magic, along with stereotypical mythology, never really delving too deeply into either. I'm going to be delving very deeply into several aspects of magic and different mythologies, especially with the source of magic itself. By the way, that's not a very big spoiler, but I thought I would put it in spoiler tags just in case. As for antagonists, yep, there will be some really powerful ones. But the Charmed Ones will also find that an enemy doesn't have to match them in power to be a significant threat.

Wow, how much of a loser am I? Look at all of the discussion and speculation above and have I even bothered to get the first episode r&r'd for you? No! I'm so sorry, Nerf. I'll try and correct that mistake as soon as possible. Most likely not until this weekend. Good luck with the rest of the writing though.

I cant wait for the next chapter. I am interested to see how things turn out. With the Billie and Christy thing, and then Coop and Phoebe with the unsuspected guest in the way. I am just pretty excited to see how things play out.
