I would love to enter the contest for fanfiction of the month..
But i have one problem
I'm dutch so there could be some big grammatica mistakes and stuff!

There are other members whose first language isn't English but we will take that into account when judging the fic, don't worry. As long as your entry is a strong one & well written for the most part it will count in your favour, oh btw, welcome to the board,  |

I'd really love to take part in a Writer's Trial. I can't wait till those come out so it gives us practice and great critiques on how to become better writers by the experienced judges. Winning the tale of the month would be a huge honor and I really hope I can advance to the point where one day I can compete for that. In the meantime, I'm excited for the people who deserve that honor to get it. =) If I could do graphics I would be excited for those but I suck. Hehe. It's alright though, I'm over it and I enjoy writing more.

Is there a specified date as to when the writers trial will begin?
Would the writing piece be in script or story format? Or is it up to the particular author?

I guess that I can reveal that we will be handling this like the Designer Elimination from Charmed-Net. For those of you who don't know what that it:
It's where a certain amount of members sign up for the contest. Once the slots are full, the contest begins. They give you a certain task & they give you images to complete that task but ours will be based on writing, meaning we'll be giving you a certain storyline or whatever (we're still deciding) for you to build up a short piece of writing. Since writers will be eliminated each round, the amount of writing you have to do is minimal. We won't expect you to write a 20 page story.
So we have a few finer details that need to be worked out so we will be opening the sign up thread sometime next week or the week after depends on how prepared we are. Everything will then be revealed like what the theme is, if it's script or prose & other information.

I'll definitely be participating if it's in prose. I've tried to leave script behind me as prose writing is the type of writer I want to become. No offense to script writer because I love to read script also. I can't wait for the contest!

The Angel - It's in your best interests if your good at both script and story if you want to be a successful writer. But don't let the writing format keep you back from entering.

I have a question concerning the "Tale of the Month" Do you have any idea when that will be starting? and Will the "Tale of the Month" only ever be a Charmed fan-fiction? I didn't know where to post this as there is no Q&A type thread here on Shadow Tales (might be a suggestion lol ). |

I think I speak for all the Elders when I say that we'll take on our other ideas after the Writer's Trial. And no, I don't think the tale of the month will only be Charmed-centric but the winning fic must be one that has a good following & is sure to continue in future.

Wow i really like the ideas you are guys are thinking i would love to do the scheme that would be fun and it will make my creative side to actually think:) Even though I'm not much of a writing person i would like to try that out but like i said maybe. I would love to see you guys do something for the video making people in the busy that would amazing i would love that, but its your choice elders. I hope you guys make me welcomed.
