Would CBTC have worked with Prue?

I was looking over Cheaper By The Coven today, and this part got me thinking.

Victor: I told the girls to stay downstairs until we settled this.

Grams: There's nothing to settle. Now if you don't mind, I'm demon proofing the attic. I want to keep the children safe.

Victor: Wait, believe it or not, I really appreciate what you've done for my daughters.

Grams: Buttering me up won't do you any good. I'm not reversing the spell.

Victor: I don't expect you to. But I do expect you to understand that even though I couldn't be there when they were growing up, I'm here now. And just like you, I want to do what's best for them.

Grams: We already are.

Victor: No, we're not. And since I wanna reverse the spell and you don't, I think we should bring in a third party to break the tie so to speak.

Grams: A third party? Who'd you have in mind? Their mother?

I had thought about another third party, besides Patty, that Victor could have had in mind and Prue is the only other I could think of. Don't get me wrong though I loved the Victor/Patty moments and it rekindled my love for their relationship but I just wanted to see how you guys thought it could have been done or something.

Now I know that the stuff between Shannen, Brad and etc, would have maybe kept this from happening but do you guys think the episode could have worked. I had heard there were rumors of a Shannen guest spot in season 7 so that's another reason this crossed my mind. But I think it maybe could have worked but also there was so much going on in the episode it might have been too much. A way I could have seen it working would have been if Prue had been able to come down every once in awhile so it wouldn't be as huge of a deal and the storyline would have leveled off a little.

But, opinions?

Interesting, never thought of that. It would make sense though, Prue raised her sisters with Grams, she knows both her sisters best.

But I think, if this was the first episode that Shannen would appear in again, it would've focused more on her then the story. Of course, if she had appeared more before, it would've been a better choice to call her instead of Patty.

Yeah I mean if she had been summoned before in like season 6 or before then it wouldn't have taken away from it but since it would have been her first one that it would have had too much going on. And yeah as much as I love Patty, Prue did know her sister's best. I would have loved seeing her and Grams go at it about whether or not to undo the spell. And also her having a reunion with Victor.

Having Patty stop by wasn't really shocking and she was more of a supporting character in that episode, so I feel Prue appearing would've been completely wasted.

IF Prue did return, I'd have preffered it to be in Forever Charmed/Kill Billie, or one of the final episodes. Even if she was only seen when they went to the past, or even the future. But her in CBTC would've been silly.
