Charmed Comic coming in summer 2010

Guys, I sent a message to Paul Ruditis asking him about the problem and telling him that i am telling people that the last page's error is intentional and he replied that it is not a mistake and that i continue spreading the word.
So the last page of issue #0 has not problem at all and i suggest you tell that to people who you know are going to buy issue #0.

Cover
I really enjoyed the cover. It really looks like Paige, Phoebe, and Pipper.

Story
The story is the book of shadows which is the spell book for the Hallowell sisters. It explains the whole show in this one issue that way you can get ready for issue 1. I guess that is the reason it is issue 0.

Best Part
My best part is that the issue was good because if you never saw the show Charmed and want to get into it then you can read this issue and be a Charmed fan in no time and you would not be confused for issue 1. This is like a Wikipedia page of charmed in one comic book issue.

Worst Part
The worst part is if you seen the show before there is no need to buy this issue.

Art
I really enjoyed the art and the pictures look like the pictures really came from the book of shadows.

Pick up or not
Pick up if you do not know anything about charmed.
Do not pick up if you know things about charmed.

I think it's still nice as a collectors item for Charmed fans. I don't see how that could be a "worst part" thing.

Anyway. Will there be a section for the Comics on here. This thread is beginning to get long and I think some people (including me) would like to review them and talk more about them in separate threads, rather then one.

I stumbled upon this review of Issue 0 and it had an interesting part about the final page

The last Book of Shadows page will be very familiar to fans of the show. It contains what I believe to be the last entries of the sisters as told to viewers in the voiceover in the last episode (I have to admit that my DVD set is currently on loan to someone, so I cannot verify this). However, I do need to alert readers to something.

It would seem that a vanishing spell has been applied to the text! Several of the words in each section on this page (and only this page) are faded out, as if the ink ran. This makes these words hard to read,
some I would say impossible. I had originally assumed it was a printing error, but I contacted Zenescope, and they tell me that it was actually deliberate.

It's got me thinking that perhaps this is the writer's way of opening up things again, since the final scene of Forever Charmed tied everything up nicely and suggested that the sisters didn't really fight demons any more. Either that or someone is messing up their history and it will factor into the story in some way.

Either way, I think it's a cool way of opening up Charmed again.

Loved that review. I so hope that the store I'm going to tomorrow (to preorder the issues) has a small stock of Issue #0. I don't believe I'll be able to wait another week. Gosh, I'd even settle for the Al Rio cover just to hold it.

Anyway, yes. I wonder if the missing/fading/blotched words have any relevance to the coming plot? I know I'll be checking them out, just in case, Lol!

Hey what if the Source (confirmed in the synopsis for issue #4) rewrites the history of charmed after the finale? That may mean that the final page fading is their doing.

Btw what do you think of the new issue #4 synopsis ?

The titles will start for issue #1 and after right? I mean issue #0 doesnt have a title?

So he is the foe the Power of Three might not be able to defeat... Makes sense. No matter if they keep The Grimoire out of reach or how many times they vanquish the "outer shell", no amount of good magic can vanquish the very powers -- the very source -- of evil, eh?

I do hope they keep the (sometimes cheesy) puns that were the Charmed trademark ;D

Btw if you look at the review of issue #0 it says that there is an illustration for one big event of every season. Does that mean we are going to see Prue pencilled if they are going to cover season 1,2 and 3 big events?

Yea, they will, but it probably won't have her likeness.

I think they'll probably show her being thrown through the wall. And by that I mean they won't be showing her face. Like they did in Cat House. Or she'll just be unrecognizable.

But I do hope those last pages missing means their destinies are going to play out differently than we saw only for my own personal reason aka Phoebes story haha. I can't wait for this series to really start.
