That looks about the right thickness for a comic. Where do you get these pictures from?

If you want to see more charmed comics related convention pictures check this charmedcomicfan.jimdo.com/various-photos/

About the thickness issue. Comics tend to be about 30 pages, with thin paper and quite a few adds in there as well. I doubt the Charmed comics will be any thinner or thicker than regular comics, but since Issue 0 is an introductory issue and a cheaper issue, it may be a case of having less pages than the regular issues will have. I don't know, we'll have to wait and see.

Are you counting adverts and covers as well because the comics I've had in the past have always been around 30 pages and in fact I'd be slightly disappointed if the Charmed comics have less than the ones I usually get.

Gah. Looks like "Charmed" really is Doomed after all... After the WB's total lack of interest when it was a show, and their obvious distaste for promoting it right, it now seems that even Zenescope, who've blatantly made it clear how long they've fought to earn the rights for the comics, are no better. Someone who has managed to get an early copy of Issue #0 said on the official Zenescope forum how the last page of his book is almost totally unreadable, even more so for someone unaccustomed to the show. After phoning his local store, the clerk told him that the problem was the same for every copy they have... Here's hoping those copies get shipped back and Zenescope does what's necessary to fix it all...

Errors in printing happen. But here's hoping a copy leaks itself onto the worldwide web. Also, don't hold your breath for thick issues, comic book noobs. If that's what you want, I suggest you wait and order the graphic novels.

Paul Ruditis said this on the Zenescope forum:

Maybe its a page of the book of shadows that is damaged intentionally so that it seems old.

Sounds like they're changing the mythology, which would be a total slap in my face, after how I've been insisting how much I trust the writers. But in all fairness, I think we need to just wait to find out what exactly is being referred to. We might be able to interpret it better than this person (no offense). Also, thanks for posting the new version of the cover for #0, I like it so much more, though I agree- Alyssa does look a little off. But the coloring and everything else about it looks SO much nicer and cleaner than it did in the original version. Two more weeks...

I'm not sure about the "changing the mythology" part. The Book has been said to protect itself against evil, never against either graffitying (Piper crossing that page in Hell Hath No Fury), nor against the damage of time. If one of their ancestors has used ill-prepared ink, it's natural that the page wouldn't last hundreds of years.
However, something in the way P.R. said this makes me wonder if that isn't part of the plot. What if a demon manages, like Abraxas, to alter the Book? Hum.
So yeah, nothing hints at mythology changes.

Did you mean that it too annoying/upsetting/whatever to be read (like a major typo, such as "Prue is alive" rather than "Prue is not alive")? Or did you mean it's illegible (smeared, scribbled out, faded, etc)? I was assuming there was some kind of major typo, making it "unreadable" for a Charmed fan, since we know that they messed up. If the writers were defending it, then they did it intentionally, which would imply a change in the show's mythology/rules. If it's just smeared or scribbled or faded, it wouldn't imply a change in the show's rules, but it would mean that since the writers were defending it, it was done intentionally.

This is the message left by that guy on the Zenescope forum: It's clearly just a printing problem, as I said, but not so much since it's an intentional one, as Paul Ruditis implied. Edit: Well, looks like the release date was yesterday I found a site with that date listed and Raven Gregory tweeted that the book was out. Why do most sites list it as releasing on the 30th, then? I'll confess, I've been looking for a torrent of the scans for hours now :$ and found jack.

Yeah, it came out yesterday. It's the first issue that's out on the 30th. I actually didn't realised up until a couple of days ago, so maybe it was brought forward?
Mine is on order and I'm hoping they send it out tomorrow so I'll have it early next week.
Also I'm interested in seeing what the deal is with the back page, I'm quite curious about it now it seems to have been done on purpose.

Gosh, I wanna cry, Lol. Mine isn't ordered yet, because there's only one lousy comic shop in the country that's into the whole foreign shipping business and I had to make an appointment to go there and discuss how those preorders work. That means by the time I get the preorder, I'll receive both books together. *sigh* But. Wasn't Issue #1 supposed to come out at Comic Con? And isn't that taking place at the end of July? *confused*

Yeah, it is a bit confusing, but everywhere online seems to suggest that Issue 0 will be out at the end of the month so I'm not sure what's going on. Usually in comics they tell you when the next issue is out, and the 30th is a Wednesday which is new comic day so sounds about right.

TFAW e-mailed me saying they shipped the comic. It's already here in Belgium actually. Just waiting for the comic to arrive at my home Quite surprised that they are releasing it sooner.
