Hey, everyone!
This is a little idea I had, inspired by Ross' DE thread on C-Net and iTunes also. This is like a music recommendation thread. I for one am always looking for new music, new undiscovered bands to listen to and just adore finding songs I never would have found alone. So this is where you can recommend bands to other members.
Instructions: So here is how this will work. Someone posts an artist/s that they are currently listening to and anyone who knows of a band with a similar sound/style will post the name and some song recommendations if they like also.
For example:
I am currently listening to Kelly Clarkson, does anyone have anything similar to her kind of rock/pop music that I could try out?
And the next person would post:
You could try artists like Demi Lovato or Alanis Morrisette. Alanis is a little more rock, but Demi is more Pop. You could try listening to Demi's "La La Land" or Alanis' "Ironic" etc...
So, if people think this might work then please post away. Mods, if you don't think it is a good idea feel free to delete or lock.

I'm not sure what I'd recommend. I guess Hilary Duff for a pop sound. The song "With Love" is a good example. Another very good pop sound is Ashley Tisdale's "Switch" and "Masquerade" for pop-rock. As for rock, not sure...
I'm listening to Miley Cyrus now. Any recommendations?

Great idea, Karla!
Manar, if you like Miley Cyrus, you should listen to:
Aly & AJ - The duo writes all their music, play piano and guitar, and have helped produce some songs on their albums. Recently, they switched their name to 78violet, so I should warn you before you go looking for their music that it could be under two different names. Aly & AJ have a softer sound on their first album, but their second album has some great guitar and a slight rock/electronic edge. Songs I Recommend: "Rush", "Something More", "Potential Breakup Song", "Bullseye", "Like It or Leave It"
Demi Lovato - I am a HUGE Demi Lovato fan, so I will try to get anyone to listen to her. Demi has strong vocals and an edgier side than Miley Cyrus. Also, on her new album, she throws some soul in there. Her voice really stands out. Songs I Recommend: "Get Back", "Party", "Don't Forget", "Until You're Mine", "Here We Go Again", "Catch Me", "Every Time You Lie", "Got Dynamite", "Stop the World", "Remember December"
Kate Voegele - Kate Voegele is unknown to most people unless you watch One Tree Hill! I would describe her music as pop, but it has a folk flair. She's softer than Miley Cyrus and my other recommendations, but her songs are catchy. Songs I Recommend: "No Good", "I Won't Disagree", "Kindly Unspoken", "99 Times"

I'll try this, since I'm looking for some new music.
Um, at the moment, I'm listening to Skillet - to be more specific, their new album Awake, and the song It's Not Me It's You. Anyone have any recommendation?
Oh, and Melissa - I love Kate Voegele. I'm still humming 99 Times, and I am totally obsessed with her album Don't Look Away. She's great, and I heard her off of One Tree Hill. She deserves more attention that she's gotten so far.

I only know one song from Skillet, and thats "Rebirthing". With that I guess I would recommend:
Relient K and their "Which Will You Bury, us or the Hatchet?"
I am currently listening to Britney Spears after seeing her concert last night. What do you suggest for me?
