Hey, guys! I just thought that the root of most conversations are things we have in common. I thought this would be a good way to find people who have similar interest (aside from Charmed) and get to know each other better. Not sure if there is something like this already, but it could be fun. Favorite Movie: Favorite TV Show: Favorite Singer/Band: Favorite Book: Favorite Memory: Favorite Motto: Favorite Joke: One thing to do before you die: Dream Job: Talent: And the age old question, What came first, the chicken or the egg? Feel free to answer all or some of the questions. And add questions as well if you have any you think would be fun.

Favorite Movie: Oh, so hard to choose. I love so many movies. The Pirates Trilogy, Prince Caspian (omg, sooo good), the Spider-Man movies, X-Men 2 and X-Men 3 (my fav of the three), Iron Man. As for musical movies I love Moulin Rouge and Across the Universe. Animated movies I love disney classics like The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, etc. Don't make them like that anymore. Other animated, the more computer kind, I like Toy Story, Finding Nemo (yay for Dory!), Monsters Inc., the Shrek movies. Others... oh, um The Matrix (the first two), The Road to El Dorado (so funny, mom and I love this one), Mean Girls and Just My Luck (two very funny Lindsay Lohan movies). Oh! A great murder mystery movie is Death Trap with Michael Caine and a young Christopher Reeve (not young young, just talking pre-accident). Sooo good. Oh! The Incredibles! Love that movie. Um... the new Star Trek was very good. I couldn't really see it at the theater since I forgot my glasses and was therefore blind, but it was still awesome. Can't wait to watch it again. And I really enjoyed Pearl Harbor. Okay, I have to stop. So many good movies. I'll just keep going forever if I don't stop. Favorite TV Show: Again, so many, I can't really choose one. Charmed will always be my favorite, just because it was the first show I became obsessed with and I have never grown tired of it. Sure, there are better shows that have better writing and acting, but it will still always hold the place of my favorite. However! Gilmore Girls is another MASSIVE favorite. Oh my god, the acting on that show is fantastic and it has such a huge amount of great, eclectic characters that it never gets tired. I don't think I can get sick of the show, it is just way too good. I find that my humor is a lot like that of Lorelai's, so she is my favorite on there. A lot of people think it started to go downhill with S6 and S7, but those two are actually my favorites. And if you love the show and have not read the amazing virtual continuation of it, you PM me. Next, Buffy and Angel. I like Buffy more, but both are very good. Angel's 5th season was really good (the best imo) and then got cancelled, sadly. Ah well. I don't find myself rewatching either of these shows as much as some others... Don't know why, exactly, but I still love them when I do. Smallville is another huge favorite. Still going, so I am currently more obsessed with that. Me and my mom watch it together and we love it. The 8th season, which just got done, was the best season yet. It was just so fresh, with some casting changes, and dark (and if you know me, you know I love dark). I think this is due in part to the main show runners leaving at the end of S7 and giving the reigns to the other executives. So excited for next season! Xena is another big favorite of mine. Sure, it could be overly hokey a lot of the time, but it could also just be so damn good. Lucy Lawless and Renee O'Connor were just fantastic. S5 and especially S6 were my favorites, as they were darker and had much better story arcs. I know Reyn loves this one, too, and we have had some great discussions about it. Any other Xena lovers, you make sure to contact us! Stargate. Oh my god, I am so obsessed with Stargate. Both with SG-1 and Atlantis, but more with the first show. They are just soooo good. If you haven't seen them, you must. Of course, watch SG-1 first as Atlantis is a spin-off that didn't start until S8 of SG-1. But man, SG-1 had ten amazing seasons. Again, some people think it should have ended with S8, but S9 and S10 are my favorites. The arcs were just much more consistent and were dealt with in most episodes, having more continuity between episodes, as with before that they would have something huge happen, then not get back to it for forever. That always bothered the hell out of me. Anyway, it was then followed by two great movies, with a third on the way. As for Atlantis, also very good, just finished its 5th season with a movie on the way. I am only on S4 and I am trying really hard to stop myself from watching it, because the 5th season doesn't come out on DVD until June 30th or something, and if I get to the end of the S4 finale and I don't have S5 right away I will freak out. Anyway, both shows are amazing, with insanely good special effects, and there is a new Stargate show coming out this fall. YAY! Okay, there are more shows I like, but those are the ones I am obsessed with. By the way, I am also a fan of Star Trek. None of the original series, The Next Generation is my favorite. But after watching Stargate so much, I've become.... not as into Star Trek. *shrug* Not exactly sure why. Anyway, I'll stop with that now. Favorite Singer/Band: Stop asking these questions! I will type forever! Okay, right off the bat, I love Britney Spears and I don't care what people say. No, she's not the best singer in the world, but I love her music and it always makes me happy when listening to it. The songs are also some of my favorites to sing. As for my other music.... I love pop music, but I am very eclectic. I love so many different kinds of music. So I'll just list a bunch. Ashlee Simpson, Taking Back Sunday, Jesse McCartney, Blake Lewis, Colton Rudloff, Daughtry, Jay Brannan, Joe Brooks, Demi Lovato, Miley Cyrus (again, not the best singer, but I think she is maturing into a good artist. And come on people, "Fly on the Wall" is a great rock song), Jonas Brothers (their new song "Paranoid" is great), Fall Out Boy, Fergie (none of that Fergalicious stuff. This woman is a great singer and they need to showcase the songs that show she can really sing. Check out the song "Losing My Ground"), No Doubt, Hanson (not the kiddy mm-bop stuff. Check out their album The Walk. Great rock album), some Hilary Duff stuff (heh), some Jason Mraz stuff, the song "Crush" by Jennifer Paige (great song, but her only good one), some of Jessica Simpson (not the new country stuff), Jet (especially the two songs they did for the second and third Spider-Man movies), Jon McLaughlin (insanely good at piano), Justin Timberlake, McFly, OneRepublic, Panic! At the Disco (just their first album. The 2nd one sucks except for the amazing first song on there, "Nine In The Afternoon"), god help me... some Paris Hilton songs (I know! Weird, huh?), Paula Abdul's new stuff (and maybe one or two songs from her earlier stuff), Raven Symone (the newest one isn't that great, but she is still a great singer), Roark (check out the songs "Into Pieces" and "Letters"), some Papa Roach (Getting Away With Murder is so good), Ryan Cabrera's two most recent albums with a couple songs from before, Ashley Parker Angel (he's a guy, has a great rock album), the song "Only This Moment" by Royksopp, Samantha Grimes (a friend of mine), Sara Bareilles, Stacie Orrico, Steadman, some Switchfoot, Ted Leo & The Pharmacists, some Trust Company, a few Madonna songs (though I think she pretty much sucks now. Only good recent song is the one she did with JT, and he blew her out of the water vocally on that one), some Nelly Furtado (check out the song "Breath" that she did with Swollen Members, and the one she did with Timbaland and Justin Timberlake called "Give it to Me"), some Vanessa Carlton, Norah Jones, Five Times August, some of Jordin Sparks, and... oh, check out the song "Walking on Air" by Kerli (especially the remix by Samantha Ronson). I also love some orchestral music, like the Finding Neverland theme and others. Okay... I'll stop there. But see? Love so many people of so many different genres. -- Hours later, after staying up til almost 5 a.m. listening to music, I am adding some of Mitchel Musso. The song "Do It Up" is a fricken' fantastic rock song. Go check it out. Seriously. Go. Favorite Book: Stop it. Ugh, um... Harry Potter series of course, Ranger's Apprentice series, the Young Wizards series (starting with So You Want to be a Wizard), some Star Wars books (especially Truce at Baccarra, the Revenge of the Sith novel that is so much better than the movie, and Dark Lord Rising which is about Vader right after the events of the third movie), the Artemis Fowl series (amazing books). A bunch of others. I also like some biographies/autobiographies. One great one is "Me and My Shadows" by Lorna Luft, one of Judy Garland's daughters. Not only is it a great insight into Judy's life, it is very interesting to read about Lorna's life. It was also adapted into a mini-series and DVD movie that you can get, that focuses on the Judy stuff. Great movie, check it out. Okay, I will come back to the rest later.

Favorite Movie: You know something I could type forever. I love movies, especially the classic horror movies from the 80s and the ones that are based on Stephen King books. However, my top five movies of all time (in order) are: 1. Arsenic and Old Lace 2. Its a Wonderful Life 3. Great Escape 4. The Italian Job (the original) 5. The Shining Favorite TV Show: Hmm, well, I'd like to say that Charmed is my favourite but its not. The first tv show I got obessed with was Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I loved how it started off with Buffy as a child and as she grew up, you grew up with her. Seeing her go through high school and college, dealing with normal things and having friends while at the same time battling demons and vampires and trying to stop the apocalypse many times was what made that show - something that I think Charmed lacked especially by the end of it (as in, where were their friends?) Supernatural is another favourite of mine, although I wasn't too sure about the end of the last season. I much prefer how it started and also the third season. I love how the both guys act opposite each other, you really can believe that their brothers, they play it so well. The writers are amazing too, there are so many twist and turns, sometimes its impossible to guess where they're going with it next! One Tree Hill was a favourite of mine until the recent season, to be honest I kind of got bored of it lately, mainly because there's only so much they can do without completely repeating themselves. Personally, I think they should have ended it when they finished high school but that's just my opinion. I'm sure there are plenty of more but I can't think right now and I really will end up typing forever if I do keep thinking of more. Favorite Singer/Band: Ok, I'm going to sound like a 14 year old girl here, but I love Backstreet Boys (bare in mind that I was a 14 year old girl when they first made it big). I love that they always sing live while dancing, there has never been a show that I've been to where they've mimed, and never a show that I've seen on tv where they've mimed. Their music has grown as they've grown and they were sensible enough to take time out to deal with their own personal problems and then get back together. Other than that, there's lots of music that I'm interested in. My Itunes ranges from musicals to pop rock to metal to rap and hip hop! When someone asks me what type of music I'm into, I can never tell them one type because there is so much. Currently in my CD player in my car is Linkin Park, but just the other day I had High School Musical 3 because I was in a childish mood! Favorite Book: I don't read too much, but when I do its usually a book that I get hooked on. I just don't have time to read usually. I love the Twilight Saga and got through all the books within a few days - I put off coursework because I was that hooked! I love Dan Brown's books, my favourite is Angels and Demons and I can't wait to see whether he will bring out the third book in that triology that was meant to be out four years ago, around the time of the court case. Definitely something I'm looking foward to reading. I love Stephen King and Richard Laymon, they are two of the greatest horror writers ever, but I just never hae the time to read all their books. I have a load of them, but a lot I just haven't gotten past the blurb even though I would love to. Other books that I got hooked on were "A Child Called It" and Dave Pelzer's series of books about his life and "Cry Silent Tears" which I'm still reading at the moment. I'm really into psychology and trying to figure out what could be going through a mother's mind while she was absuing her children and letting others abuse them really gets me. They're so heart wrenching and in a way I'm hoping that "Cry Silent Tears" will have an explanation to the mother's mind, I'm hoping that he's managed to find out from her why she was like that. Favorite Memory: Not sure I can think of anything and just think, that is definitely my favourite memory. I've got lots that I cherish for many different reasons. Favorite Motto: Don't regret anything. You only regret what you don't learn from. Favorite Joke: I get told jokes all the time but I can never remember them unless someone else starts to tell me them again, then I go "Oh I've heard that one before" once they say the punch line. One thing to do before you die: Travel the world! Really, there are so many countries that I want to visit like Brazil, China, Japan, New Zealand, Romania...that's just a few but there are lots and lots and lots. So far I've gotten through most of Western Europe and parts of the US and Canada that I want to visit. Dream Job: A Professional Student Nah, actually I would love to work behind the scenes in TV or something. I'd love to be a director or something. Sometimes when I watch shows I'll sit and think "hmm, maybe they could have done it like this" or "well, it would have been better if they'd have done that instead". If not, then I love my writing too, so another dream job would be a writer (either for the screen or just books) anything to get all the different story lines out of my head! Talent: hmm, my talent? I suppose playing the piano would be my talent - or maybe just music in general. I learnt to play the piano when I was five, after picking up my friend's toy piano and teaching myself Twinkle Twinkle Little Star without knowing any notes or anybody telling me anything. After that, I picked up many different instruments - I think I counted up to 8 the other day. The only instruments that I can't get notes out of, so can't learn, are anything with reeds for some reason.

Favorite Movie: I have a few favorite movies. I really love Mean Girls. I could watch that movie over and over again. While it's not exactly realistic to high school life, it's great to watch. I know someone who looks exactly like Kevin G, it's creepy. I also love Taken. The movie is so fast-paced and interesting. Liam Neeson is a great actor, he portrays the part well. I also love the movie Jawbreaker. Favorite TV Show: Better list these... -Charmed -Monk -House -OTH -Ghost Whisperer - Harper's Island - Dollhouse Favorite Singer/ Band: Muse, MuteMath, Demi Lovato, Miley Cyrus, Aly & AJ, Paramore, Dance Gavin Dance, Bush, Our Lady Peace, the Offspring, The Hush Sound, Pretty Reckless, Kelly Clarkson, Kate Voegele Favorite Book: To Kill A Mockingbird, Vampire Academy Series, House of Night Series, Speak, Twilight Saga, Midnighters, The Seer Favorite Memory: Going to Gloucester, MA every summer with my family. We would spend days on the beach, relaxing, going out to dinner and shopping. Unfortunately, we don't go anymore. Favorite Motto: Do the best you can. Favorite Joke: (Karla) " What has hands, but can't talk?" (Me) "A deaf person!" One thing to do before you die: Live in San Francisco Dream Job: Be a famous author, or run my own TV show or business Talent: I am super flexible. I can put both of my legs over my head and have them sit on my shoulders. The egg definitely came first!

Favorite Movie: Like Ian, I love many movies. But I'll just say "Enchanted" and "Elvira: Mistress of the Dark". Favorite TV Show: Charmed, of course; Supernatural; I've started a British show called "Merlin" which is not too bad, except for a few special effects. Favorite Singer/Band: I doubt you'd know her lol Favorite Book: Harry Potter's all along. And that's including "Quidditch Through the Ages" (the only book about sport I have and will ever read), "Fantastic Beasts" and "Beedle the Bard". After that, there are so many great books that it's a bit hard to decide. But I love Robin Hobb's. Favorite Memory: Oh, tough one! My godson's birth Favorite Motto: I don't actually have one... I think... Favorite Joke: No offense intended lol What's a blonde blowing in another blonde's ear? (or something like that) Data transfer. Mwhaha :$ One thing to do before you die: Finish my stories. Dream Job: Translator. Talent: Gah. None that I'm aware, I guess. What came first, the chicken or the egg? A very disturbing question. The cell came first

Oooo, I never answered what came first. Well, my theory is that chickens evolved from other creatures, like what humans did, which would mean that before the chicken there would have been an egg, which was an evolved chicken from what ever creature it used to be...

Favorite Movie: Singin' in the Rain Favorite TV Show: Dancing with the Stars Favorite Singer/Band: Alabama Favorite Book: Oh, that's hard! Too many to think of. Probably Nora Roberts' "Donovan Legacy". That's how witches should be written! Favorite Memory: Cheering for my University of Minnesota Golden Gopher baseball team at the Big Ten Tournament in '98 when they were in the championship game against the host team, Illinois. I battled the other fans as hard as the Gophers were battling the Illini! After 6 1/2 innings, we were down by five. After singing "Take Me Out to the Ballgame", I sang our Minnesota rouser, and our team came back and ended up winning in the bottom of the ninth! Later on, a number of the Gophers told me that they were very, *very* down, but then they heard me and it helped perk them up and helped them win! My very own "One Shining Moment". Favorite Motto: Succes is not how high and fast your reach the top, but how high and fast you bounce back when you hit the bottom. Favorite Joke: Too many to think of right now. One thing to do before you die: Always wanted to go back to Alaska where I was born, but where I left when I was a month old. Dream Job: The one I have. If I had any athletic talents, I'd love to be a major league pitcher. Talent: Writing and listening And the age old question, What came first, the chicken or the egg? BOTH!

^ Oh, I love "Singin' in the Rain"! In 8th grade we had to watch it in some class and I really didn't like it and thought it was sooo boring. But then I saw it again in some movie history class in 12th grade and I loved it and have loved it ever since. One night it was really late and I really had to go to bed, but just as I was about to turn off the tv "Singin' in the Rain" came on and I watched the whole thing. Such a bad idea that night, but whatever. My mom and I both have the same favorite quote: "An' I cain stan' 'im!" ;D If you've seen the movie, you'll get it.
And Es, you say your dream job is the one you have now. If I may ask, what is it?
I used to want to live in Alaska and have one of those little planes that could land on the water. But then I realized something. I HATE the cold. So I don't think Alaska is for me. Maybe once global warming turns it into a tropical paradise.

Aw, man. Nice thread. I feel like this could really bring the members a lot closer. Let's see: Favorite Movie: There are so many to count. I don't really go to the movies a lot so I just wait til' it comes out on HBO. But my most favorites are Diary of a Mad Black Woman, Bringin' Down the House, The Kingdom, the Rush Hour series, Waiting..., Illegal Tender, ATL. Oh, I just remembered, my all time favorite...Four Brothers. All incredible movies. Favorite TV Show: Besides Charmed, I'm getting really into a lot of other shows like Grey's Anatomy, Boondocks, Bones, WWE (Raw and Smackdown), Wipeout. I'm so into 90210 and really am anticipating Melrose Place. Favorite Singer/Band: Jonas Brothers. Just kidding. No, really, I'll pretty much listen to everything. I like Paramore, Kevin Rudolf, Busta Rhymes, Akon, All Time Low, Day 26, Lil Wayne, NEYO, and alot more. Favorite Book: There aren't so many. I just started to get really into reading last year when I entered high school. But one of my all time favorite is 13 Reasons Why. Others are Finding Fish, Imani All Mine, Skulldugery Pleasant, and Twilight Favorite Memory:So many of them. I think it was my first curtain call. It was only about 3 months ago but it was me and 3 other boys and we came out first, so it kinda gave me the impression that we were starting the applause for everybody. It was such a fun experience to do and can't wait to do it next year. Favorite Motto: "That's what she said..." Favorite Joke: Sorry, no offense. " How do you punish Helen Keller?" "Make her read a basketball" One thing to do before you die: Write a book. Dream Job: ...A game show host... And the executive producer of a TV show. Talent:I can burp the ABC's...no lie! ;D And the age old question, What came first, the chicken or the egg? the egg. I have another question to add, if you guys don't mind, Who's your favorite actor and actress? For me, my favorite actress is Queen Latifah because she's so beautiful and a really great actress. And my favorite actor is Tyrese because he always brings so much depth into his characters that he plays. BTW, I hope that joke wasn't offensive to you guys...

Hahah, that joke was High-larious.
Oh, and i have a movie to add to my favorites - Stardust.
As for Actresses, I would have to go for Scarlett Johansson.
And for Actors, it's between Julian McMahon, Chace Crawford and Bruce Willis.
OH! Die Hard! That's in my favorite movies too...
God, I am such a boy.

ROFL!! Oh, yes, that's one of my friends' and my favorite lines, too. (She's the one who introduced me to all the early MGM musicals that are all such fun!) Or "Of COURSE we TALK! Don't everybody??" or "What's wrong with the way I talk? What's the big idea? Am I dumb or something?" I love Lina SOOOO much! Jean Hagen did SUCH a great job with her! I often think that Billie was Lina in a previous life! (Well, Billie on Charmed, not in Witchlighter!) As she describes herself: "People"? I ain't "people." I am a - "a shimmering, glowing star in the cinema firmament." (points at paper) It says so. Right here." Although I prefer how Cosmos describes her: "Lina. She can't act, she can't sing, she can't dance. A triple threat." My very first fanfic was actually "Singin' in the Rain" written from Cos' point of view! I don't have it any more but it was a TON of fun! Someday I might try writing that again... And in just a few weeks, I get to see the play version for my birthday! I've seen it before and it's just as much fun as the movie! So it's always nice to find a fellow fan! And now I have to go find my DVD and watch it again while quoting every single line and singing every single song! Especially "You Were Meant for Me"--that's my parents' song--they danced their first dance as husband and wife to that song! Sure. It's an accounting job for a wholesale floral company. Doesn't sound like much, but it is. - When I walk in the door, I can smell fresh flowers and I get to bring home fresh flowers whenever I want at wholesale prices plus a discount.
- Our company is only seven blocks from home, so I can walk to work, which since I don't drive is heavenly. I work from 8:30 to 5, so I get to sleep in late and still get home at a decent time, which is also heavenly, since I used to leave the apartment at 6:30 to get to work by 8 and got home at 7 despite getting off work at 4:30. And there was only one bus both ways, so if I missed it, I'd have to take a cab.
- Unlike that job, I have a fantastic boss who sticks up for me and lets me know he appreciates what I do and lets me work overtime whenever I want to.
- Also unlike the other job where everyone gossipped and back-stabbed, I work with some great people who I count as friends. Unlike the suits and heels I had to wear to the other job, I get to wear jeans and a t-shirt and tennis shoes.
- Although I don't make as much as I did at the other job, I make enough to be able to live on my own and afford to do the things I want to do without getting and debt while still being able to leave the job behind as soon as I walk out the door, so I can concentrate on fun stuff like baseball and Charmed sites!
- Just like at the other job, I do a lot of computer entry and get to set up and fill spreadsheets which I enjoy, I get to file which everyone else hates so it makes me valuable.
- Unlike there, I'm also the relief receptionist so I'm not up there TOO long, but get a chance to help our customers,
- and at lunchtime, I get to snoop on the Net!
Oh, yes, compared with that other job, this is truly is my dream job, one I hope I have for the rest of my working career! LOL, well, like you, I live in Minnesota, so although I'm not nuts on the cold, I can tolerate it. But that's why I want to VISIT Alaska, not actually live there! And visit during the summer, not the winter! Funny, unlike most people, going somewhere hot has not appeal to me; I'm not a sun person, especially because I'm very fair-skinned and burn easily no matter which sunblock I use. My favorite city to visit is Chicago, but again just to visit, because all of my family is here in Minnesota. Curiosity, Nerf. Where exactly were you? I was born in Fairbanks.

Wow, that does sound like a good job. Wouldn't be for me, because I suck with math, but the distance and everything sounds nice. I used to be able to walk to work when the library was just a couple blocks from my house. But then we moved to a new building, which is huge and fantastic and a car situation was nicely worked out. But now I don't work there anymore. I got fired on Friday. Four years of my life and then it's bye bye. I used to love the people there so much (and most I still do), but for the past several months that gossip and backstabbing thing you were saying started to happen and I never knew who was doing it. But it helped get me fired. So now I have to find a new one that hopefully I like and hopefully is close.
I'm not really in to going to hot places either. Well, warm, but not really hot. I don't like the cold and I don't like too much heat. Has to be just right. I'm pretty fair skinned myself, so I burn quite easily. Oh, tell me about Chicago, like fun things to do and such. I'm visiting there next month to see my friend who is at a naval base down there. He gets to go to the city semi-often, so he'll know of stuff to do, but another set of options is always good.
I used to live in Columbia Heights, but that was only until 2nd grade. I've been living in Forest Lake for most of my life.

Wow, that does sound like a good job. Wouldn't be for me, because I suck with math, but the distance and everything sounds nice. Yep, it is. As you said, it probably wouldn't be a dream job for a lot of people, but at this point in my life, it is for me. The funny thing is, I suck at math, too, but the computer does all of that for me! Oh, I'm SOO sorry to hear that, Nerf! Been there, done that, and it's absolutely no fun! That previous job I mentioned? I was let go after 23 years! Not fired (although I have gone through that before, also), but (here's some irony for you), replaced by a computer, because at that job I mainly filed and they went paperless. Fortunately at my current job, filing is secondary, with the computerwork, so I don't have to worry about that. I wish you the best of luck in finding a new, better job--hopefully as like what happened to me, the bad thing ends up being a very, very good thing, as you find what you'll later consider as your dream job! Yup, that's exactly me. Oh, ultra-cool! Enjoy my favorite city! I hope to be there for the long Fourth of July weekend. When I'm there, I definitely play tourist. Here's a few of my favorites: - Naturally, being a baseball fan, Wrigley Field and Comiskey Park (or whatever they call it nowaday) are must-sees for me, especially because they're just an El-ride away from downtown. And if you can see a game at Wrigley, even better!
- Taking the double-decker bus tour! You get to sit onto of the bus and see the city from that point of view and it's wonderful!
- Going to the top of the Sears Tower during the day and the top of the Hanc0ck Tower at night! Haven't been to Chicago since the new Trump Tower went up, so not sure if you can go to the top there.
- Touring the Museum Campus--the Shedd Aquarium (especially the dolphin show), the Field Museum (especially Sue the Dinosaur) and the Adler Planetarium (especially their Sky Show).
- Stroking the tail of the Lions in front of the Art Institute. (it's supposed to be for good luck)
- Exploring Grant Park, especially the Buckingham Fountain, and Millennium Park.
- Taking one of the boat tours, which goes down the river and then out into the lake, especially the sunset tour!
- Exploring Navy Pier, especially riding the HUGE Ferris Wheel!
- If it's bad weather, spending the day out at the Museum of Science and Industry
- Favorite place to eat: Italian Village
- Oh, if you're into amusement parks, the naval base is in the same town as Six Flags Great America, one of my favorites.
That should give you a good start... LOL, I was actually wondering where you were in Alaska, but it's good to know where you've been in Minnesota. Me, I was in Lexington (near Circle Pines) until near the start of third grade, but grew up in Brooklyn Center (where my dad still lives) until I moved to Minneapolis near the campus of the University when I started taking extension classes (got my BSB through extension), and I'm still in that area. But thinking about Chicago, there's another good question for discussion: Where do you like to vacation and what do you like to do there? As for: Weather you do like I actually like all (well except for hurricanes, tornadoes, etc ) which is why I love Minnesota--I love the change in seasons--but my favorite is sweatshirt/sweater weather with a blue sky and fluffy white clouds and not a lot of humidity.

Favorite Movie: Practical Magic. No questions asked. Twp of my favorite actresses, along with another favorite actress during her childhood, the movie itself is amazing. The book is on my list of must-reads for the summer. Though, Pirates, Simpsons Movie, and many others are pulling in for the tie. The Pirates Trilogy is amazing - the acting, plot, story, and character are incredible. And Indiana Jones. An old classic, but I'm a huge Harrison Ford fan. Which of course means Star Wars, too, but only the original trilogy. The new trilogy's alright, but... that's my own opinion, though.
Favorite TV Show: Smallville, Supernatural, One Tree Hill, Reaper, Charmed, Law&Order SVU, CSI, Gilmore Girls, Angel, Buffy, Birds of Prey (an older TV show that - I think - was created by the same people as Smallville...) and (I can't believe I'm writing the next few...) Yu-Gi-Oh, Yu-Gi-Oh GX, Yu-Gi-Oh 5Ds, and Pokemon... (still can't believe I wrote the last four...)
Most of them because of the amazing acting in it - especially Supernatural. A friend and I were complaining all day after we saw the finale - he's pretty sure that they're both going to die painfully, and I'm pretty sure of the same thing, but I'm hoping that they'll live through it all... though, I doubt it. Smallville because that same friend hooked me on it. Law&Order and CSI because they have gotten me through some VERY boring afternoons of nothing to do. Gilmore Girls because my mother is an amazingly huge fan of it. Birds of Prey because I saw an episode on YouTube and thought it was really good. Buffy and Angel because my best friend hooked me on it.
As for the last four... well, I just like them a lot. I have no clue why. Feel free to tease me, LOL. My own opinion, and I can like what I want.
Favorite Singer/Band: Skillet, Breaking Benjamin, Nickelback, many others.
Skillet has amazing lyrics and songs (My Obsession, Collide, and Whispers in the Dark are my top favorite songs of all time). Breaking Benjamin is just awesome, and I really enjoy their music, and Nickelback... well, I just like them a lot for some reason.
Favorite Book: Star Wars books, Ranger's Apprentice, Harry Potter, Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants, Werewolf Rising, The Princess Diaries, and many more.
For anyone who hasn't read it, Werewolf Rising by R. L. LaFevers is my favorite book. It's a slightly more children-esque, but it has a really good plot. Plus, it's got werewolves. Don't really need another reason. But, for anyone who hasn't read it, I really recommend it. I must've reread it at least 65 times. And that is not an exaggeration.
Favorite Memory: Going to a zoo when I was little and falling in love with it. To this day, I go to that zoo every summer. Animal freak here, btw. I'm begging my parents to let us keep the family of groundhogs living under our porch.
Favorite Motto: "In times of test, family is best." No clue who said that, but I love my family, and this really fits with it.
Favorite Joke: "Hey, what's up?" "The opposite of down." Okay... that was pretty pathetic... but my friend loves it, and we both use it on everyone at our school.
One thing to do before you die: Go to Australia, mostly because of all the animals there (poison and all...) and because Steve Irwin was a huge idol of mine.
Dream Job: Writer (working on it, very, very slowly, and working on my original story...)
Talent: Writing, good listener, coming up with crazy ideas. Just ask my friends. They'll tell ya.
And the age old question,
What came first, the chicken or the egg? God. (My Sunday school teacher once said, you don't know that answer to a question, just say God. And no, that doesn't work on Algaebra tests)

Where do I Vacation:
I don't generally have a particular place or country I go to. I never stay in Ireland for summers, well not for vacationing. I do absolutely love New York though. I have only been once, but it was the best week of my life. I love all the lights and the music and just the whole atmosphere. I'm a real city girl.
Other than that, I'd have to go with Spain. I've gone there around 5 times I think. I mostly just do stuff like swim in pools and shop when I'm away so anywhere is good really.

Where Do I Vacation: I used to vacation in Gloucester, Massachusetts every summer. We had a hotel right on the ocean. During high tide, the waves came about 5 feet away from the actual hotel. My family and I would walk on the beach, go shopping at these awesome shops they have there, go out to dinner, and eat awesome seafood. I miss it so much. Unfortunately we don't go anymore. Also, last summer I went to Colorado. It was one of the best places I've ever been to. My grandparents (stepfamily) live right near the foothills of the Rockys. We spent about 4 days there and then we went to this huge cabin up in Estes Park. I went on a horseback ride through the mountains, whitewater rafting (I will never go again, I cried! LoL!), and hiking. On the first day we went to the highest point in Rocky Mountain National Park, I think it was about 2.3 miles above sea level. Unfortunately, I got altitude sickness! Haha! But, the next day, we hiked up to this beautiful waterfall and hiked around a lake. I wish I could go back!
