New Year's Resolutions

Okay, we all know that most of us don't keep any resolutions. Some people don't make any because they know that they will break them. But whether we'll break them, or not, let's make them anyway!

But let's expand it. List any resolutions or goals you have for 2009, and also if there is anything that you are really looking forward to for the new year. But let's expand it even more. As we say goodbye to 2008, list your favorite moments from the past year, along with any favorite movies or music that came out.

For me, I'm not sure I have any resolutions, but two of my biggest goals are to get a better paying job and to record an album (along with doing more performances to get over my stage fright). It probably won't be an all original album, but I just want to get something out there. If I'm going to have a music career, I need to get started.

Something I'm looking forward to next year... The end of George Bush's tyrannical reign as President and the welcome of Obama. Here's hoping he leads America in good new directions.

Favorite things from the past year: the release of Britney Spears' new album Circus and her return to be healthy and getting more time with her kids (here's hoping the new year brings her true happiness), the dramatic drop in oil prices (hopefully they stay low), Obama being elected (but I was happier that John McCain was not elected), several good new movies (Iron Man, Indiana Jones, Prince Caspian. I'd say 007, but I haven't seen it yet), me getting to perform at a town festival, and... becoming a part of this site.

Nice resolutions Nerf! I just wanted to comment on your stage fright. I recently joined Drama Club and im a techy (backstage stuff) but I really want to act. So I know where your coming from w/ stage fright. Maybe you can put a vid on youtube and post it here. That would be pretty awesome! And I can probably listen to one of your tracks.

One major goal is to get honors in school. I had 3 A's but one D.
But I want to try to work harder at it. Another goal is to be in a play this year. That way I can get over my extreme shyness and be more out there. And to get an XBox 360. I have a Wii but it's a bit childish. And my major goal is to write a story or fic.

I am 110% with Nerf on Obama! and I am happy to see Bush leave! And overall, I think that Obama can do amazing things with our nation and hopefully end the war in Iraq safely!

I'm definately looking forward to all the returns of the WB's shows. They've been on hiatus for the holidays I guess. Even before that. I'm alos looking forward to some new DCOMs (Disney Channel Original Movies) I know I'm 15 but I've seen almost every one so i wanna keep that record. As well as new shows in the future.

I want to see Cirque Du Freak: The Movie and Half Blood Prince. Those 2 movies are extremely well and I look forward to seeing how they differ or compare to the books.

I liked aot of things in 2008. I wish I can say movies but I don't really go out that often, so I mostly watchthem on HBO. I saw Enchanted and the Golden Compass which were really good movies.

So I look forward to the new year and this is probably my longest post. And I look forward to the new things at Shadow Tales, one of them Nerf's season 9! Good luck to all with the new year that lies ahead and Happy New Year!!

Awsome thread, Nerf! You got me to post, too. Lol. Nice resolutions you got there.

In 2009, I really look forward to passing grade 9, the most important class, I beleive. I'm not a hrad worker. That's the truth. But I will pass this, I just want good grades.

On the other hand, my dream is to act. I'd love to go to Hollywood and become an actor (and maybe a singer). Okay, I really should come back to reality. Lol. It's still my dream, though and I look forward to try and be one.

Another goal is becoming a better writer, graphics artist and video maker. And also doing great in DE on C-net.

I'm lebanese. So, I defintely look forward for Obama stopping the war that George W. Bitch (sorry for the language, even though it's not big of a word, lol. But he deserves it and much more. Haha.)

I plan to start and watch Heroes. It looks like a great show. I would love to travel this year, to places I've never been to. I also look forward for everything to be great. Haha. Period.

Things from 2008: Like Nerf, Britney Spears Circus release and getting her life back together. Hope she keeps her comeback safe and clean. I replace my obsession in Charmed with my addiction with Desperate Housewives, the best TV show, IMO. (I still love Charmed, though). Working on Sony Vegas for my videos and improving in writing. Of course, Obama being elected. Opening Charmed-Destiny forums. Becoming a member in this site. Made many friends on C-Net and ST. I'm also really glad that Hilary Duff became an adult. Always was a fan and always will be. Falling in love is another thing, with two sixteen year olds: A friend in school and Miley Cyrus. Lol. Loved her Breakout album. Also, the good movies I have seen in 2008 (Enchanted, Eagle Eye, The Dark Knight, among many others...). And last but not least, becoming a fan of The O.C, Ghost Whisperer and Supernatural. Wow, that's alot! I propably have more.

Great resolutions! and a very happy but late New Years.

My new years resolutions are to get better in school (I'm not the best student i have to admit) and do good on my exams my the end of Jan. I'm also thinking about getting a job. My sister and cousin both worked at red lobster and maybe I could go there, I mean my sister started there when she was about 16, so I'm thinking, what the heck, lets take some risks!

What I loved from 08: Twilight movie and my new addiction to the books. (btw new moon comes out in december, 09!!!!). I know paramore didn't come out in 08 (or did they?), but I've really started to like them, Muse, and Tokio Hotel. Also, me and my sister have started to watch One Tree Hill (we only started because of Chad Michael Murray!!!) and really started to like it. My sister got seasons 1, 2, and 3 of the show (which we share) and now we're really hooked! But we have catched on to season 5 and 6. And also, as many have said I was really happy that Obama was elected!!! Asides from charmed (which I am not saying that is any less of a show than the others) I've really come to like House, Heroes, and Supernatural. And lets not forget movies: Eagle eye, quantum of solace, Iron man, The dark night, Yes man, and tropic thunder. Also loved being able to join this site.

And as I said before Happy very late Christmas an New Year!!!!!!!!!!
