What irritates me is that my printer refuses to print of a school assignment which is just black and white, while the error reads "out of yellow" !? Makes sense, doesn't it.... printers....

Sorry to be blunt, and I don't mean to hurt your feelings specifically AstralKnight, but I just don't understand why people keep creating a fanfic thread when all they release is a title. I mean, what's the point? So that others can comment on how they don't have anything to comment about? IDK, guys, at least post a little summary, of more than just one sentence -- something substantial.
I posted this here instead of in AstralKnight's thread so that it wouldn't spoil the discussions.

No offense taken, Terry. I have a pretty strong tendency with doing that, not just for this fic, but all of them. I guess you can call me one of those writers who give up or call it quits when I only released a chapter or two (sometimes even before a chapter is even completed). IDK why I guess I like doing that to add suspense? To me teaserlines always hook me in. I love 'em. But that's just me. But I've never seen someone else do that as well. Sorry to rant in the thread. ;D |

Physics. Waves in Physics. I really don't give a shit if standing waves have a lamba/2 difference between two consecutives nodes/antinodes, nor do I give a shit about the intereference patterns of microwaves and the damn distances between them. I like Physics, I really do, and I get it, but this damn chapter/unit really annoys the crap out of me. It's just so... senseless.

This just in: my on-campus residence building contains only rooms with bunk-and-loft. There are no in-room washrooms, and it's the worst f**king building at that Uni. (Okay, fine, no, there's a worse one, so it's like, second worst).
But grr, argh, f**k this shit. I at least hope my roomies are fun and not nerdy or too weird.

Attention whores. Especially the kind Terry mentioned in this thread earlier (not the same one, though).
And shoe stores. I only rarely ever go to one of those places, and today I had to comply and go out shopping for a new pair of trainers. Apparently the really good ones come in sizes below 46, and they don't really stock up for people with such shoe sizes. Not normally.
I know people are afraid of Bigfoot, but why discriminate?!

Any reason why you hate script format so much? Sometimes I prefer it because you don't have to piece through some very badly written descriptions (no digs at anyone, I've just read fanfiction in the past and it has been bad!).
Like T.D said, Reyn's Alt. S2 is really good and that's in script format!

The script format comment wasn't a personal rant on any one in particular, I've just come across it far too many a time, mostly on FF.net.
I have read the first episode of Reyn's alternate Season 2 and I must admit I did enjoy it.
I don't usually do script format because I simply find it too bland in comparison to prose. Admittedly there is some bad prose out there, but I just like reading descriptions and things. I think it adds more to the storytelling, but that's just my opinion.
I haven't read Matriarch, Seer, Witchlighter or Family Magic yet - but I do plan to. The story I was ranting about in regards to the graphics/video annoyance was the Alternate Season 6 thread. I may be hugely mistaken, but there wasn't any links for me to follow and just episode summaries for half the planned Season.
I was just a bit annoyed that I got my hopes up for an good-sounding fiction and then it wasn't really there =[ it made me a sad panda.

Oh I get really annoyed when I see script on ff.net since one of the rules states that scripts aren't allowed on there, it must be prose. I understand why you get annoyed there since when I'm on there, I'm in the mood for prose and not scripts! That makes sense but in defence of scripts, I never see them as a storytelling as much as prose is anyway. Script is for a fast paced, dialogue style of writing which leaves a lot to the reader's imagination. I know I use script a lot for that reason and I'm not so great with descriptions so I like to leave it up to the reader to decide on where things are placed and what's going on other than the main speech that is happening at the time. I never thought you were having a go at anyone in particular, I just wondered if there was a reason why you didn't like scripts  |

I think it's funny how you find scripts fast-paced but it takes me absolutely ages to read them =P I guess I'm just not used to reading them.
Hmm, maybe I should give scripts another look. Reyn has proved to me that a well-written script is a hundred-times more enjoyable to read than badly written prose.

Reyn does capture a lot of description in her scripts too. Whenever I see scripts on FF.net, I heartily, like an asshole, report them. And we have an Alternate S6? :S Wow. Did you get to Page 2 of the BoS board without going throught page one?  That irritates me. </sarcasm> |
