A thread to document all the little things that annoy or irritate you. Think of it as a 'vent thread' where you can let out your frustration and agitation, and hopefully feel a little better (and yes, I realise studies investigating the catharsis hypothesis have found little support for it, but tough!)
One thing that frustrates me is the trend of making people browsing for pictures of actors/actresses register to a website's gallery to view said pictures. I can't count the number of times I've been searching for a particularly good pictoral representation of an actor/actress and, having finally found a high quality gallery featuring said actor/actress, I've been prompted to register in order to view gallery images. I am not going to take the time to register at every single gallery I visit, remembering passwords and email addresses, just so I can see if that gallery has good images of the person I'm looking for.
Yes, I understand that image stealing is an issue, and that's probably one of the reasons this is done (as an extra security precaution), but there's still nothing stopping me from stealing the pictures once I am registered at the gallery (if I were that way inclined). I wish I could go back to the days where looking for images of actors/actresses online actually resulted in being able to view those images without needing to register at a gallery before I can even access the pics.

Great idea for a thread. And I completely agree I have enough passwords for boards to remember, I don't need more for galleries Let's see I would vent about school in general but that is too obvious for a teenager. How about something that happened to me on my first day. I don't understand why people do this but w/e. This one girl who is my table partner, is all like "Wait your name isn't really Benjamin is it?", she has been in more than a couple of my classes in the past 4 years and yet she thinks that just because I choose that name for a spanish name it's my real name? And it was so obvious she was just trying to make herself come off cool towards me and make herself feel so much higher than most, or if you think about it in a shallow way, she's just blonde(but really she is lol.) So not a big deal, but I hate how people put on a fake mask at high-school to make sure they aren't outcasted(I'm guilty of this, so maybe that's why I dislike it so much.) But anyway vent done. Man, I feel so much better. I have a feeling I'll be active at this thread alot! So beware, I can get more annoying than just this post

Lol Great thread. I gotta stay away from it as much as possile, though. Ehe. Well, guess I can say maybe just two words for today: Life sucks! Yeah, definitely, but what else is new, huh? OK, OK, no venting lol just was kinda bored *sheepish grin* But, P.S.: You know, Reyn & Jake, what you guys said seems like a common reason for venting for me, anyway. Well, I'm outta here.

Things that irritate me:
Life's way of throwing an obstacle your way, and while you're trying to overcome it, drop another bombshell on you to thoroughly kick you while you are down.

Let's see, things that irritate me.
I hate when people show off something or gloat about something. It makes me feel all inferior and stuff, but then I think to myself that their lives are that lifeless that they need to share it people that don't really care.

Something that irritates me... My eleven year old brother. Must I explain why? Alright, I'll do it anyway - when he comes onto my documents and threatens to delete them if I don't do something for him. And THEN I get in trouble for yelling at him when HE was the one who started it. *Scowls deeply and thanks God that he left a couple of minutes ago with his friends*

My god! My choir and sight-singing teacher is such a...errr.... (I go to an Arts School)
She has this stupid rule of no talking, not even to help someone out with something, say if someone asked for a pencil. If you do, then your grade gets lowered, and she has this stupid list where she does this. I HATE IT! Then yesterday, she told us to pass notes, so me and my friends did, and she STILL MARKED US DOWN! I didnt talk ONCE in that class and she is marking me down! God, she is getting on my nerves! And I cant leave her class, for if I do, I leave the school...just errrr...

Another thing that irritates me: People who, when I'm waiting to turn into a main street from a sidestreet, toodle along the main street and at the last minute flick on their indicator light and turn into the street I am waiting in. Had they revealed their intention to turn by indicating prior to reaching the street, rather than flicking on their indicator when they reach the street, I could have had ample time to turn into the street and be on my merry way.
Those are the type of people who cause accidents, but are never actually in them.

Ah, the people that have seen plenty of accidents in their rearview mirror!
The thing that is annoying me the most at the moment is being really ill where you're in bed the whole day not being able to eat or even move and the guy that you really like asks you out for dinner! Why is it that it always happens when you have to say no? Grrr!

Sorry to hear that you aren't feeling the best, lexi Here's hoping you make a full recovery quick smart! And ha! I think people know when you are busy - like some kind of 6th sense or something - because as you say they always ask you to do something on the one day you aren't free. Pick any other day at any other time, and you're fine - but they have to go and pick the one day you're not available. But if he's keen and he likes you, he'll make another date!

Ugh, stupid parents! I actually love them but whatever... not in the car!
Anyways, I just got my driving permit now that I've been 15 for a while so I've driving around a while.
I'm pretty good, if I do say so myself. =)
The thing is, no matter how good you do something while driving, parents will always find a way to point out how bad you did something. They never shut up!
Gah! Sorry, I had to get that out! =P

I've been driving since I was 17, got my license and passed my test as soon as I could. My dad taught me and didn't really pick up on much, but that's because my mates would teach me too, and taught me before I actually had my provisional, so wasn't too bad when it came to proper lessons.
Anyway, now that I've passed, my mum picks up on as much as she can about my driving! I actually get nervous when I'm in the car with her and I've been driving 5 years! My nanna also picks up on things and she's never driven a day in her life! lol So I know what you mean, Harrison.

Hmmm.. I have a number of things that irritate me... People who say "like" too much, people who leave the lights on, trying to open up plastic cases (you know what I mean, the stuff that is indestructible), show-offs, jerks, suck-ups, people who always have to "one up" you, mass paranoia, media outlets who stir up trouble, finding cold and frozen bits of food in your microwaved entree, litter, slow computers (mine), not finding anything to wear, allergies, books with obvious endings (the kind where you know how it's going to end before you even open it), stories with text-book plots, incredibly poor grammar, online trolls, real trolls, "reality" TV, etc.
Those are just a few things. I'm sure anyone who read that can relate to one or more things listed. I beleive there is a site just dedicated to things that annoy people.

One thing that annoys me is SHRINK WRAP! It's the most annoying stuff ever created! It doesn't stick to anything but itself! And it always sticks when you don't need it to! Then when you need it to stick it won't. It also likes to rip except when you need it to rip then it won't!

Can I kill my old-lady neighbor? I mean, here her one-foot high bastard pup barks all day long when she's off somewhere, but because mine bark at her when they see her in the garden (which is IMO natural -- and short-lived), she shouts at us that we should teach them a few things, calling us idiots. *deep breath*

Ha! Ulead Video Studio. Stupid program keeps crashing EVERY d**n TIME I try to render something! So, basically, it's put my video making on standby, which is really pissing me off. So then I decide, why don't I use Sony Vegas to cut the clips? I open up the program and try to open the video file, and it doesn't freakin' accept the file type! As a last resort, I then tried to cut the clips with Windows Movie Maker, and once again it doesn't accept the file type. Is it just me or does God, or whatever else is up there, hate me a lot?

Lmao! I hate it when that happens. Something that really annoys me is when After Effects crashes. I forget to save, or just can't be bothered because I'm just testing, and it crashes. And unlike Sony Vegas it doesn't restore your project!

Dramatic drunk chicks.
Okay, so hey, yeah, I get that it's St. Patty's day. I LOVE it's-the-one-day-of-the-year-you-can-be-drunk-at-noon-and-nobody-will-judge-you day. But, slutty girl from the building down the street? (ps; yes, wearing your underwear on the outside of your neon green tights and calling that an outfit enables me to address you as slutty girl from the building down the street) You do not get to spill your cheap beer all over me, and then laugh hysterically about it. I get that the apartment is crowded. I get that with that many people, chances are someone's going to spill on me. Whatever; it happens. But, you apologize. You do not laugh to your equally slutty friends and then try and push your way past. That's just rude. You also do not go crying to your boyfriend when I call you out on being an idiot. No one likes the sound of a drunk girl sobbing. It grates on the nerves. Learn to handle your liquor, or just stay home.
Night? Not as great as I expected. Vent? Definitely over.

So I help out little kids with learning disabilities in school, and last week during English, they were learning how to write a story. This kid comes up and reads a story he had copied exactly from a short story book. The teacher reprimands him and then tries to correct him by saying, "Sweetie, what have I told you about writing your own story? Take any story, like the one you've copied, and change the names of the characters and setting. Instead of writing about Tim playing with his dog in the park, perhaps you could have Sally play with her cat at the beach." The child nodded. Whore.
It's teachers like these that encourage pea-brains to copy plots mask them in such ways. Not entirely what irratated me, but it's a nice little anecdote to go along with what I have to say:
It irratates me how stories with the same (and for leniency sake "almost similar") plots gain more acclaim than those who originally had it.
Said. Done. Load off my mind.
