There are worse things than going through the Wall of Doom! So far I *love* Alternate Season 2 and have a hunch that will continue. As for my birthday, it's coming up...like this coming weekend! Good system - especially for new fan fiction readers, as it (hopefully) allows you to point them towards a well-written fan fiction and thus give them a good 'first fan fiction experience.' I don't know how many fan fiction websites I've been turned off because I read several badly conceived stories posted there. We are lucky, and sometimes I'm glad Prue wasn't around for some of the storylines the writers had the sisters involved in later on in the show. I really can't see Prue putting up with leprechauns and mermaids and all those other fairytale creatures that surfaced in seasons 4 and 5. Happy to hear you are enjoying the season so far! 1 Episode down, 10 to go! lol A very happy birthday for you for the weekend, then! I would like to, but when I went into the Fanfiction area, it didn't seem like they would fit in. Mine have no graphics and they're not part of the series and that's what it appears like they have to be. If I misunderstood (highly likely....happens after you're 50...) and you want to tell me how to post them, I'd be honored. YAY! I'm very glad that you did! Now if you can tell me at which episode of Matriarch Piper starts being the Piper at the end of *that* fic, so I can skip the parts where she isn't, then I'll probably enjoy it as much as I've enjoyed Season Two so far. So far I have! |

Exactly! And since I think that we have some very well-conceived stories at Alternate Charmed, it makes it easy to give them that "good first fanfic experience" and give them the confidence to try to write one of their own...even if their own isn't quite as good as the others! Well, that's when I wish Prue was around to yank her sisters away from all that crap and put them on the right track. I love thinking of her telling Chris to tell her what he's up to and then get his ultra-skinny a$$ back to the future where it belongs before he screws up the lives of more innocents as he would to each one he met, or telling Piper to quit having a pity party because Leo's an Elder and let's go find an innocent to save or telling Phoebe to quit worrying about her daughter's father...she'll meet him when she meets him...right now it's a lot more important that they go find more innocents to save. A friend of mine is in the midst of writing a tale called "Changes" where Prue comes back and gives everyone (Chris included) whatfor for how much they've screwed up since she was killed and I can't *WAIT* until it's done..it's SOOO funny! LOL! Then I better start reading!! Thank you! I did that this entire weekend, and now I'm having fun sharing it with my friends online! [/quote] |

So the graphics are an additional element people use to appeal to new readers, but they definitely aren't necessary to post fan fics. The fan fics don't have to be part of the series either - they can be poetry or short stories or any format. And they needent be related to Charmed either - all we ask is that anything you post is in accordance with the posting rules (ie that the fan fiction doesn't include overt sex and violence or any content that wouldn't be appropriate for younger readers to view). Um, alright then...  I'm Erika, basically. I'm a fanfic writer, but I've only been doing this for a couple of months now. I was surfing on YouTube when I found the trailer for this, and I joined because I thought it looked interested. I'm a reader of Matriarch and Witchlighter, and plan on reading Alternative Season 2 in a couple of days once I have time. I'm a bit quiet, and I'm a dog person. Anyway, that's just me. And I love all the little emoticons or whatever they're called in here - especially this one -  and this one -  And that's it. |
